Hi. Need to book flights to Skiathos in June this year from LGW (ideally) but with TUI now the only airline to fly from LGW they’re over £600 per seat excluding baggage!!! Just wondered if there’s something major happening in June for them to be busy (hence the high price) or whether it’s just as there’s no competition any more? Was really hoping EasyJet might take over the Thomas cook slots but it doesn’t seem that way so far Any insight much appreciated. Thank you

Stansted, Birmingham and Manchester have Jet2. Probably too far for you, although you don’t indicate where you live.
British Airways were running from London City Airport.
Have you considered buying a package holiday from TUI? We’re paying £1433 for two weeks 26th June. From Bristol - and LGW is usually cheaper.

Thank you. Yes we’re down south so LGW is best although will consider the Bournemouth flight if prices don’t change. We have already booked a villa so only need flights. The packages are good value in comparison to flight only.

I was thinking book a package but don’t go to the accommodation if package is cheaper than flight only. Our price includes 15kg hold baggage and 10kg hand baggage. It also includes extra £44 for selecting our seats.
Gatwick example, Friday 12th June 14 nights, Morfia in Troulos only £620pp.
Is Bournemouth reliable? I seem to recall it not going last year - I could be wrong.
And what about London City Airport? Too far also?
It certainly seems the moral of the story this year is Get a cheap flight first, then get the accommodation afterwards. That’s today’s advice for any horses that haven’t already bolted from the stables!!!
