Sounds like you'll need it!! That's the problem with TUI these days, now that the only staff on the island are the two or three at the airport. However, I sent a message on the day of the departure through the TUi app to say I wouldn't be on the coach but making my own way to the airport and got a message from a local Tui person straight away to say OK. Good luck 🍀

Im shocked to hear no reps at all in the resorts! I could have sworn Helen who was the rep for Troulos hotels was there early season drinking with the lovely hosts at Boudouriani as she is very good friends with Ilias and Paris? Maybe she is now just working at the airport?

Di, you may remember that here in Villa Maria (and surely all other TUI accommodations) there was a notice board or something listing pickup times for home travel. That area here has been discontinued and all that remains are two A4 placards on stands on a tasteful table. They say there are no rep visits and download the app for 24/7 support. All clients we have spoken to recently have vehemently condemned the practice as they have been unable to contact anyone locally. TUI’s support service is listed at a Swansea address with a +4433 phone number. When I phoned it this morning at 9:45 Greece time, it was answered fairly soon by a man with I thought French accent.

When we landed, we grabbed ourselves an airport ground staff yellow jacket man with a wheelchair and he wheeled us through past the control crocodile. Nice policeman acknowledged my Greek greetings and stamped our passports. The yellow man helped us through the chaotic baggage reclaim and we trundled out to the TUI reps who simply asked our names, said Villa Maria, bus 16 out to the left and waved us away, no comment about the wheelchair. The yellow man took us to the coach where eventually a TUI rep appeared and said your driver is the lovely whoever, first stop is wherever, next wherever, several more wherevers and lovely whoever will tell you when you get there. The rep did not come with the coach guiding us to our accommodation and I got the impression that several of our passenger were disgorged and given a wave in some sort of direction. No problem for us, this is our fifteenth visit, we could probably have done the job for the lovely whoever. But not very nice for a newbie.
By the way, yesterday I got out the iPad and booked us again for next June. This morning I had an email saying they have a duplicated booking, which one should they cancel. So I cancelled the most recent booking in favour of the one I made three months ago (and have paid £400 in deposits for). For those of you not yet old enough, this is what elderlies do!

When we arrived late dark bus pulled up shouted accommodation name gave them cases Fred to think if hadn’t been before press people dumped on main road in agia paraskevi preload is long way down track apperantly given a map . First and last time used a coach we usually get taxi to avoid wait rep ddreesed the bus load silly rubbish as if hadn’t been before then said driver is Nicos say kalispera nicos as if we were 5 years old!! Never TUI again jet 2 for me especially as 2 flights a week from east mids next year. Incidentally Kev lovely lady at Byzantium said if we want to spend last day there we are welcome to use shower in pool toilets and change so we don’t waste last day . There some people doing that yesterday who weren’t staying there but had used facilities there often.

Sounds like Jet2 are making the effort to steal some business from TUI who are looking rather complacent. If jet2 show better after sales care on site then it can influence how people book the following year, it's not rocket science.
TUI need to up their game. They have gone from what was considered a better standard than the likes of TC, Easyjet etc to a bit of an also-ran but with elevated prices. With the rise in cost of living people start to look more carefully at what they are getting for their money.

To be honest Kev, I don’t think Jet2 are bidding to take over, I think they simply and wisely have got it right, to their benefit and TUI’s loss. I think the only disadvantage for us would be flight times, we prefer the early start. But I’ve met plenty of their customers who love the later times. Takes yer choice!
