Thanks Bob and Woody, it would have been nice to leave in sunshine but who knows, the sun might be shining in Manchester!!!

Looks like we're having an English Friday with the rain. Here's Thomas Cook from Stansted, which has already been to Skiathos and did a few circuits and has flown away, goodness knows where it's going. I watched my Birmingham flight get there, but it stopped displaying on approach, which usually means it has landed, so maybe Thomson are better at it than TC.

Looks like its off to Thassos Dennis. I have stopped there a couple of times to refuel on the way back.

That Thomas Cook flight has just landed at Kavala. You have to pity them.

Both my previous TC flights (from EMA) have refuelled at Kavala homeward, think it's pretty standard for them. Makes for a 5 hour return flight though! That TCX7078 unfortunately looks like it never even got to Skiathos though! as you say you feel sorry for them as getting to your destination is the exciting part so to get close then get diverted must be a let down. I guess they will rescedule them a later slot when the weather perks up?

Thanks everyone, arrived home safely. Bit chaotic at the airport and only started boarding at time we were due to take off but better than my brother's flight (Olympic) which had a two hour delay and also had to refuel at Thessoloniki!
I have enjoyed my holiday in the Sporades, stayed in some comfortable accommodation, eaten some very delicious meals and met some very friendly people. Unfortunately, I only scratched the surface of both islands, so much to see, so guess I may have to make a return journey! :-):-):-):-)
Hope all visitors already in Skiathos, and those on countdown, have a wonderful holiday, and thanks to everyone for joining me on mine. :-):-):-)
Until the next time .........

Oh, now that's going to be a challenge! :-):-) unfortunately I didn't take that many photos but what I did take was on my camera rather than my tablet. Think I will need a USB(?) Lead to download. Will check it out with the IT chaps at work. :-)

Hi Bob, it is still very sore. I think it may have been the ligaments I have damaged rather than a sprain! Managing to walk on it with a slight limp. Back to work today so see how I get on. Think a trip to the doctor may be on the cards! Thanks for your concern. :-)
