Apparently a 4.2 'quake was felt this morning. Located just off Skopelos. Alleged that TC are surcharging their guests for the experience. Bob

Wow Dennis I think I should have consulted you first before my little trip! :-):-)
I heard about the weather from a Greek lady staying here who got the info from the weather forecaster on TV. About as accurate as the forecasters at home! :-):-) as it turned out, no rain and hot today (Saturday).

Day Thirteen Friday
Quiet on the balcony this morning so enjoyed my tea and kindle. Then off to the bar for breakfast and write my post for Thursday.
Got chatting to a young woman who arrived on Wednesday on her first solo holiday and as she had not been into Skiathos yet I said I would go with her. Chatted about the things she should try and fit in whilst she was here as we walked along the new harbour. She was bowled over by town and kept saying how beautiful it was. Spent a long time on papadiamantis street while she went into the dress shops trying on clothes. Caught the bus back and around 5.00 pm I headed to the bar to see if friends of V's had arrived.
Texts had been flying back and forwards this morning of bad delays in England causing a knock on effect of flights leaving the island but as usual, tour operators were picking up holidaymakers and taking them to the airport as normal meaning they had to wait 4 hours for their flights home!
Guests had only arrived five minutes before and said that they had been sat on the plane for 2 hours in Manchester before they took off. The pilot apologised for the delay and said that they had to get them on the plane and move from the gate as it was required by another flight! At this end they were also only allowing two flights on the tarmac at any one time! Hope situation has improved by Sunday!
With the new arrivals we all trouped down to Pegasus for dinner. I chose pasta with salmon and mushrooms and red wine. We were the loudest table in tonight but everyone having a good time even if they had not had any sleep for 36 hours! Cost for my meal was 20 euros.
Back at the complex I said my good nights as I was so tired (must have been all that shopping) and was in bed by 10.30 pm.

We're travelling from Manchester Dennis but my sister & family are on the Birmingham flight on the 24th Sorry Tre, my world famous generosity does not extend to buying drinks on the plane for strangers' distant relatives. Lol

Day Fourteen Saturday
Well my last full day. Visit from the multicolored cat this morning! My door was open so she decided to have a nosey. Went to get her out but she shot under he bed so I left her to it. Five minutes later she reappeared and jumped on my lap for a cuddle. Very affectionate, when I stopped stroking her she grabbed my arm to continue!
She left a few minutes later and I sat there listening to the cicadas and a small plane flying overhead, contemplating my last full day, when all of a sudden, the building moved! Yes, the quake Bob unmentioned. I could hear the Greek lady (the one who told me about the weather) saying in English that it was ok, nothing to worry about, this was Greece, it happens all the time! I had known it in Turkey but never in Greece. Learned later that there is a major fault near Skopelos where the tremor originated.
Stayed around the pool, reading and catching the rays.
Evening spent around the pool as it was pizza night at the complex. Eating and chatting then off to bed, very tired.8

Day Fifteen Sunday
Well, going home today! :-(
Sat on balcony drinking tea and reading thinking about packing my case. Always takes so little time compared to packing for the holiday! :-):-)
Final visit from the grey cat. Again door open and he walked straight in. Heard him on draining board so put him out. He lay down beside my chair for about 30 seconds then got up and left!
Started to pack, then another cuppa. Then back in to pack some more, then another cuppa! Emptied out most of the fridge, then another cuppa. I can see where this is going! Eventually packed, closed case and weighted it. Wow, less than 20 kilos, can get more in there than I thought. A bit more from my hand luggage.
Donned swimsuit then off to bar for brunch. Scrambled egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast and orange.
Wrote up yesterday's post and this one. Flight not until 7.55 pm this evening (hope there are no delays and plane not full, although was when I came out) so may need a stop at Corfu for refuelling! Not looking forward to that, 5 hours + flying and refuelling time!
I have had a lovely, relaxing holiday, some really good weather, eaten some really good food, and hopefully looking forward to a return visit.
Thanks to all of you who have enjoyed reading about my holiday, even though it may have been boring in parts. I look forward to reading other's holiday posts, so until the next time, enjoy your forthcoming holidays! :-):-)

Yes it's good there - last year, Jules husband Lee installed boosters for them so that we can now get wi-fi in all the rooms. (It's still no decent speed of course - I think the best throughout the island is only about 4 or 5Mb download, but at least he's made it wonderfully accessible - it was a tip from him that has resulted in me now having 50Mb wifi at home right down to the bottom of our huge garden).

Ho hum, looks like TC are punishing Amy for having a lovely holiday - I think she's just landing at Corfu for refuelling an hour late already. If they really want to rub it in, I guess they'll have left her suitcase in Skiathos. :-(
