Hi everyone sorry for the gap, I'm afraid I fall into the same group of non-photo posters! Anyway we went to the Mystique beach bar next to Kouk beach, very smart and a little bit upmarket with lovely sunbeds, a bit pricey though! Had another lovely mixed grill sharer at Dino's in town, really good value at 30euros including wine. Friday. Thunderstorm first thing so bussed into town for breakfast, sun soon came out so we walked to the runway viewing area for some daft fun! A Germania plane lined up and with camera ready I stood directly behind across the road with a group of others, the jets gradually increased didn't seem to bad then well all hell let loose! Found myself on the floor holding up a couple of pensioners, minus my sunglasses and one shoe! Luckily I still had hold of my camera/ phone! There then began a search of the rocks and water for missing bits, about 30 people were looking! Finally a chap who had waded out about 20 yards retrieved my shoe and I found my glasses floating minus a lense! I walked back to the wife who sensibly had sat further back to watch the proceedings, she reckoned I looked like a naughty kid! Great fun but cost me a new set of sunnies and a soggy left foot! Picking up Quad Saturday morning so will try and post over the weekend.

I have to admit that I have done this in the past - fortunately without mishap - but won't again, after reading about the lady who was badly injured recently. (Blown over & hit her head on the rocks!). Better to plane-watch from the safety of Amaretto or Milos!

Thanks, Dennis, for the lesson offer. I've got some nice Skiathos pics on our pc, so will see if I can set up an account & follow the instructions on here 🤔

Egg, clicking on Like is not enough. There ought to be a Mega Like button to hit for that plane spotting report. I've never had the nerve to try that close and now I know I was a clever chicken.
As for photo posting, all you non-faffers are plain layabouts and probably also from Down South.

Correct Dennis on all counts! When I get back and can be a..ed I will try and sort some pics and the video of my plane mishap, it's quite good! Went to Kechria Beach yesterday, completely changed, the old beach hut bar and seating area has gone and a posh new stone building with the bar and kitchen plus toilets and a large split level seating area set further back has been built. They have done a real nice job, with a new slightly less steep access road, mind you the quad couldn't cope with 2up so wifey had to walk up! I waited at the top for her though, a true gentleman! Ligharies beach today, absolutely lovely with a gentle breeze off the sea, superb lunch in the taverna which has to be one of my favourites, good service, beautiful surroundings and excellent food, grilled whole stuffed squid, grilled prawns about 15 large ones, tzadziki, chips, beetroot and garlic salad and 3beers, 41euros. Now waiting to be picked up for Olivethea (oliveland) our first time.

Oh dear I bet that was expensive! Went to Oliveland, wow what a view! Got picked up by their free service and walked through the impressive entrance to a wonderful evening scene of glittering lights from the town and Skopelos the food was excellent, lovely Kleftico and not expensive. Another day on Ligharies beach and lunch at the taverna, superb the best Seabass ever, I love this place! Town last night a few beers in Admiral Benbows and Gyros at Dino's. Cloudy this morning, our last day, so going to town for a bit of people watching/beer drinking while wifey does a bit of tat buying sorry meant lovely present buying for the family! Thunderstorms forecast for this evening so not sure where we will be dining yet and back to sunny Suffolk tomorrow! We have had a wonderful chilled 10 days and I will definitely be booking for next year, bon voyage and happy holidays to everyone yet to go!
