What colour are your walls, Dennis? Am imagining Trebor with pink hair!!!! Assuming that Dennis' room is decorated the same as ours the walls are white. However I prefer to describe my hair as a dignified grey: - )

Thanks for the kind words Dennis and for welcoming us into the Villa Maria elite.
The next time our heads poke over the wall at the same time I will arrange a short techno lesson - my grandson told me how to do it before we came away.
A small correction which I will do on the forum so that no one else is confused - my name is not Trevor- if you take my username and reverse it you will find my given name (only used now when I am being told off for doing something that I should not have done) Robert but I go by the abbreviated version Bob.

More apologies are due people. Last night I also wrote Saturday's report, but when I pressed GO the wifi monster consigned it to the great pixel in the sky. Have to start it all again.
In the meantime, here's why we go to the beach nice and early....

I see that you brought your man with you to sweep your sunbed. Does he stop at that or does he walk in front of you sweeping a path? Bob (not the trebor one).

Always write the report as a text document and save it. Then copy (not cut) and paste into the forum when its ready to go. If the wifi goes weird you always have the original to copy from again at a better time. The wifi monster will remain forever hungry and nothing permanently lost to pixels in the sky.

Great advice, Kev. I always do this now, learning from frustrating experience! It also gives a better opportunity to review what I've written before copying, as sometimes I re-read & think 'what a load of tripe'!
PS - love the pixels in the sky!!!

The next time our heads poke over the wall at the same time I will arrange a short techno lesson - my grandson told me how to do it before we came away. Our heads popped up at the same time and I started to explain the mobile hotspot methods only to find that Dennis knew more than me! As in another saying now truly dismissed - you can't teach an old dog new tricks - this one knows them all!

Just logged in hoping for yet another highly entertaining, humorous update from our global moderator, . Can only assume he's having such a good time, and being led astray by neighbours, and who can blame him .

Not my fault- other than a few over the garden fence chats not seen much of Dennis this last few days- he has his beloved jimny so that may be keeping him occupied

That explains things, Dennis must be in intrepid explorer mode. Wonder if he can get a stretch jimmy for his business back home .

Oh folks, I am so sorry, this is so selfish of me. I'll try a little as we sit at Plateia Sandwich place - it has great wifi - 24mb download, 6.5 upload, so maybe this time I'll escape the wifi monster!
Strewth it's hot. The walls of Tries Hierarches seem to be shining heat straight at us.
The sandwich man is yet again off somewhere on his motorbike. The last time he came back, we suggested we could have gone off without paying, but he just smiled. And it's so entertaining to watch all the traffic which manages to negotiate through the narrow streets to get here - it's a dead end unless they fancy flying their bikes and trucks over the steps and down past the cushions. Two sandwiches (with all the fillings we choose), two beers, two frappés and a small water €20.
Sorry, off we go now up the Bourtzi for more refreshments. See you later.

Hi Dennis good to read your reports of life in Skiathos. Hope Angela has replaced the chairs and I will try ours gingerly. Our paths will cross again in September so we look forward to that.

Well there's a prophecy unwittingly. Up above, I said it's entertaining to watch traffic negotiating the narrow streets. So this afternoon, a drunken (six times over the limit) unlicensed motorcyclist failed and put me in hospital for fifteen stitches in my legs! I'm sorry, but as the lower half of my body is now starting to make itself felt, I can't keep my promise (to myself) to use my last evening to post my feedback which I have lapsed on since the wifi monster ate my report for last Saturday!
Let this be a lesson to all you sluggards, get your reports done on time because you never know what's around the corner to trash your best laid plans and empty promises.
