Ouch ~ that does sound sore, Dennis! You'll still have a lovely holiday, I'm sure. It would be hard not to in Paradise.
A week today & we'll be there ........... if Paul perks up a bit. He's had to go back to bed this morning as he feels so horrible :-(

ive seen necrotic dennis when i worked in A&E not nice at all, long job i'm afraid, also healing takes longer with age. I'm sure you will still have a wonderful holiday as you are such a positive person.

Dennis, just caught up! Not sure I can say anything of worth! Just love your upbeat attitude. So sorry that it seems your morning Troulos swim will be off limits. Sure you will find a way to ensure another wonderful Skiathos stay. Will look forward to our Bourtzi meet (yet to be arranged ) in 2018. Love to Vera XX

During yesterday's dressing change, we sent a photo by email to somebody, hopefully for further advice. When I got home I googled necrotic tissue and looked at one page with suggestions of how to get rid of it. Frankly, I don't like the sound of any of them except the simple stuff we're already doing - gel to melt it, and the final one mentioned was maggots. To be honest, that was the only one that appealed to me - sounds a bit yuk, but no general anaesthetic and no scalpels, just lie back and think of England. Mind you, I don't want to take them on holiday with me! Yes, Cariad, I thought being an age would have some bearing on recovery time - no doubt there has to be some penalty for help across the road and seats on the bus (I actually was once offered a seat on a Skiathos bus!).
