No danger from me, but Kathos..............? Particularly since she ditched the clogg, plimsole and clay pipe. You never know where she may pop up unannounced! Bob

Will be interesting to see if any new tavernas have popped up ,or indeed existing ones been refurbished or changed hands. I shall update my favourites for this season when I return home mid May. I should imagine we shall check in to hotel, then wander down to fresh bar for a mythos in an iced glass from chiller, this seems to have become an annual ritual. Great just to sit watch boats in harbour, see planes arrive and instantly relax.

Exactly, Dave. We get off the plane and I can instantly feel my shoulders loosen up! I think it's got something to do with that warm, oregano-scented air :-)

katet wrote ...I think it's got something to do with that warm, oregano-scented air :-) ... nothing to do with the ouzo or metaxa or mythos then, Kate?

I asked this last year as I too enjoyed this dish so much, the chicken is marinated overnight in greek yoghurt/herbs and lemon juice with an addition of I think saffron, hence the yellow colour. delicious...

Thanks for that information Di, explains it nicely. I very often find chicken unappetising because it’s bland and dry. Obviously, Ratatouille have the secret of infusing it with mega yum yum.
