I've suddenly become a Skiathos expert. I'm honoured; I've never been classed as an expert in anything I've ever done

i think it comes after a certain number of postings you must be an expert at something!

Oh, and he’s a nice bloke too - we’ve met him on the Bourtzi.

You're a decent chap as well Dennis; shame we won't be repeating the Bourtzi experience this year; we won't mention a certain somebody's lateness .

Philip, I have the advantage of a rubbish memory - I don’t remember anyone being late.

You know what they say about experts.
An 'ex' is a has-been, and a 'spurt' is a drip under pressure.
Whilst it says 'expert' under my name, I'm still very much a novice, still learning.
Whenever, if ever I get to visit Skiathos on holiday for a fortnight, I don't feel I'll become particularly more knowledgeable until I retire and can visit for a longer period of time, and when it's a bit cooler, and I can properly explore the place.
I'd still like to see if it's possible to get to the highest point on the island easily.

I still can’t remember anyone arriving after us. 😇

It appears I'm an expert too, never really looked at the descriptions before, though I should be aware of them from other forums I'm on that use proboards as their template. In my case it just means I've posted a lot I notice that part of my holiday this year overlaps more with Dennis & Vera than before (usually D&V arrive just as I'm leaving in Sep) so I'm hoping to get down the Bourtzi and say hello, especially as mum has now decided to book the same week I'm there.
