I’ll do tenacity in September, Bob. I’ll climb those steps and get a selfie screenshot of my head from the webcam. But I do so hope you or other members will do the screenshot from your own access instead. It's a deal. There are several ways up to the clock tower, some easier than others. The one I prefer can be accessed from Pap Street and is signposted quite clearly. I would just remind you that 10.30 - 12 on a Thursday is coffee time at the garden centre and that is sacrosanct! Bob

Bob, you can hedge your bets that it’ll not be on Topiary Thursday - that’s sacrosanct for the Skopelos boat trip and wave.

When I think about it, I wonder whether the mayor elect has even been given my email?
When I think about it, I bet if I was mayor elect I’d be making waves right now. “Hey Mr OTE, I’m gonna be the new mayor on 1st September and my future webcam is sitting there waiting like a loon for a digital line. Perhaps you’d like to consider how I might behave if my future webcam is still sitting like a loon on 1st September because you haven’t provided a digital line?”

That would be great Di, particularly as I missed you when you were up at Berwick. Are you planning a trip up this way? You've just missed the highlight of the year in the shape of Civic Week, which ended yesterday with 206 horses taking part in a final rideout. It is quite a sight. Bob

Didnt know a way up from pap street, i always use the ones that come out at the final step. Many many years ago when final step was for snacks ,drinks used to go up and sit for a couple of hours out of the sun, wonderful view of the port, and planes coming in. Must be at least 18 years ago, certainly pre mamma mia. we found it following a sign for the little church.

Yes I'm sure I've seen a sign for steps up to clock tower near Dionyssos taverna off pap st. Still never really had time to go up.

Sad to report my access to the camera test site is no longer working since Tuesday's early morning look. I am putting my hopes on a guess that it means the digital line has been installed, so it's been taken off the test site. I reckon I'll just have to wait until we go out there three weeks tomorrow (but I won't be able to see the nice man until the Monday of course).

Oh, and just on the off chance, I thought I'd try giving him a phone call to chat, but no answer - then I remembered SkiathIan says today is a big public holiday.
Maybe I should go get my holiday haircut instead?

So by the time (if) we meet, he’ll be quite scruffy compared with me.
