What a wonderful report Kate but when I got to this part I just lol! I have read it a couple of times and still laughing 😂😂
"Paul made a terrible choice (unusually) and didn’t have lamb! He asked for chicken ribs .... an unusual thing to see on a menu. He did ask the waiter how they were served- apparently a different/traditional way of carving the chicken. Anyway, when it was served we all looked at it in horror. It looked like road-kill - chunks of meat attached to the spine - yuk! Paul, to give him credit, managed some of it but the meat was hard to get off the bones and was also tasteless. When the waiter collected the plates he asked Paul if he liked the food - Paul said no, awful, so the head waiter came over to apologise, asked if he wanted anything else (no) and said he would knock it off the bill. They then brought us orange cake, ice cream and hot chocolate brownie cake on the house, still apologising! As we were leaving the manager also apologised .... we told her not to worry, as it was a one-off and we would return. Which we will - 5* customer service."
