Yes, Tre, ring sorted, plus earrings - the clicky thing on one of them had broken and as they were Greek, brought them for local repair.
6:30am and I’ve been drafting an email in my sleep all night to the mayor to try and get him to intervene in the webcam digital line supply problem. Just pressed GO so fingers crossed it may make a difference.

Safe travels home today to you both! Ps, I notice in the who is going in 2020 thread Dennis that you have not got yours and Vera's trips on there yet, but I was sure you said you had already booked? I was just wondering if you might be there around the same time as us, on your first trip? We go 23rd June, for 2 weeks.....

Sorry Di, I haven’t put them on yet, but (from memory) I’m pretty sure we arrive for your second week.
Just at the moment I’m concentrating on our next visit - 56 days and counting. #smug, #propersmug!

Thanks for all your reports Dennis. I hope you and Vera have a pleasant airport experience and an enjoyable flight home. Have you passed the baton to someone else to help your Greek lady friend in and out of the water? By the way, to make up for not waving to you on Skopelos, I'll wave to you taking off on Flightradar24! Bob

Thanks Bob. I was going to pass the baton for the old lady to Tre, but she’s gone off. Anyway, I think the old dear will find somebody else. I’ll wave back to Flightradar24, although I haven’t often seen it registering so early in its flight pattern. Maybe in September you’ll be able to wave us in on the new webcam - 7:30am today:-

Your flight from Birmingham left only 10'minutes late, so no extended holiday for you.😄

I watched it myself too. Actually, 10 minutes late is early for our flight, it usually leaves half an hour late.

Folks will need to watch out in about 2 weeks time. The rains yesterday will spark off mozzie matings and the eggs laid in standing water left by the rains now will become adults in a couple of weeks and the females will be out for blood in numbers! How long do they live?

.....but the Geordie Express bet you. It was only 8 minutes late! 😉 That must be a bit of a record as well.

How long do they live? Depends how good your aim is with the mozzie spray! 😉 Your question got me thinking so I googled it. Apparently females, the biting one, live 42-56 days but the poor males only live 10 days. I never realised that the females lived so long.

I was hoping Dennis might give us a first hand account of negotiating the new roundabout at the airport, I was going to suggest it earlier in the holiday but it slipped my mind. Maybe he can have a go in September :-)

Hopefully they’ll all be dead by the time we get there, YM! (As long as there’s no more ☔️)
Hope you have a speedy, safe trip home, Dennis and Vera ..... and that your fish are ok 🤞. Thank you for your witty, descriptive reports.... lots of grins from me at your descriptions (and a few ‘laughs out loud’ too!) lol 😂
PS By the way .... a) what’s a “rone pipe”? Is it a northern drain pipe? b) is that THE actual webcam in operation .... if so, it requires a drum roll and BIG announcement!
