Actually, I really shouldn’t be commenting - it’s “Each to his own” and we all have very different specifications for what makes a suitable holiday.
For example, I see posts elsewhere that cocktails are more expensive in one place than another. I don’t drink cocktails so I couldn’t care less! And fine wine is lost on me - it’s either nice or sour! I’m basically a pleb

No worries Dennis, and you're absolutely right.
I'm with you on cocktails - I can take 'em or leave 'em, and don't see the attraction in paying a fortune for one.
I love my wines, and have drunk some very fine ones in my time, but usually I'm happy with 'very drinkable', especially on holiday.
Any chance of you having a quick break at the end of September, or are you all booked up?

Look at the list - we leave not long before you arrive - and I used up my redundancy money years ago!

That's something I still have coming to me.
Though in my mind I suspect I've spent it all already.

Re coctails, I was in the Stamelos bar with a mate in 2013 and business was a bit slow (Sep so it was approaching 'winding down' season) and this family came in and ordered coctails. Bar owner must have seen it as an opportunity to create an advert for anyone else passing on the road so really went to town on these things, presumably hoping they were there for the night. Masses of fruit, sparklers, umbrellas and anything else he had behind the bar went into these creations. The family finished them off within 20 minutes and promptly left. We had to control ourselves from laughing out loud.

I can’t remember how many virgins there were, but one of them was wise and she still has her redundancy payout to this day.
