Hmm, I envisage start typing, double tap, select all, copy. To put it back when it disappears, double tap, paste.
That’s what I have done to create this :- Hmm, I envisage start typing, double tap, select all, copy.
With my iPad.

On my android smartphone if you tap once on the last word a little blue teardrop appears, tap on that teardrop and a box comes up saying 'select all' then if you tap that you get a menu of options to cut or copy and save it to a clipboard to paste in somewhere else later. I've given up taking my mini laptop on hols, too heavy and poor picking up weak WiFi so I'm expecting to do much more by phone this year.

EGG - forgot you were staying at Myrtia. We walked up to see V & Stefanos last night, met some friends (Karen and Tony, who are staying there) and had dinner with them. May have been sitting next to you!!

He would have spotted the VIP rope keeping you away from the riff raff surely?😉

We were in the bar all evening watching the guitarist, sitting on the table near the ice-cream cabinet!

I've given up taking my mini laptop on hols, too heavy and poor picking up weak WiFi. Last year, with the new Roaming rules, coupled with a 5GB free data allowance, I didn't bother with the free wifi we found all over the place, simply because it was so poor, 3 or 4Mbps except for one taverna (Jasteri in Troulos which was very good). Instead, I used my iPhone as a Hotspot and linked all our gear into it - never more than two at a time because there's only the two of us, but it went very well indeed. And I switched off wifi on the iPhone so that it never connected to anything poor and ran happily and quickly on 4G with Vodafone.GR. The 5Mbps was just about OK for our frequent use, but it got close towards the end of the holiday because I'd already used some before we went. This year I've changed my tarriff to a cheaper one which has 20GB free data allowance so we'll be in clover!

I think my deal is only something like 1GB so I need to be a bit careful. Also I imagine the roaming rules will change once we are out of EU? I'm currently at Kings Hotel in Paphos and the WiFi is the best I've had anywhere abroad so far.

My deal is SIM only - I decided it’s cheaper than paying inflated contract price including phone. So I have unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 20Gb data, £20/month. It’s my business/work phone which I use infrequently for private calls at no extra cost.

Mines a Huawei and with the Americans getting jittery about possible loss of the apple market and imposing sanctions I wasn't sure about buying one outright.

Yes EGG - that’s Tony - & his wife, Karen, is a blonde lady. They are here with his daughter (who is expecting) & her husband. Were there three of you on your table? I think we were sitting next to you before we went to eat.
The guitarist was trying hard 😌

Part 2. Monday morning drove down to the little carpark at the end of the runway just in time to watch the propellor plane come in, think it's the Athens flight and then the Thomas Cook flight taxied down ready for takeoff. Mum had never seen this before and we stood slightly to one side but still got blasted! Then up to the monastery, always worth the trip, so peaceful and lovely views, back in the Jimny and drove down to Troulos and round via the dog place and over the hills to Ligharies, one of myfavourites, excellent food and service in a lovely setting. Back to the hotel for a down in the pool, another lovely day on this beautiful island😁
