I hate camping.
Are there camp sites on Skiathos?

Right, that works, then.
I've sort of bypassed the Photobucket ban/restrictions on 3rd party pics - just turn the pics into a video, then share that.
Though, to be honest, it's more of a pain than it needs to be.
It'll probably be easier/nicer to post pics of a day's activities, or a meal out at a restaurant in this format, anyway.
But yes, I do really hate camping.

Yes, if you come out of that posh hotel you're staying in, then walk along the road into Koukounaries, there's a campsite on the right. (Well, I say there is, but I've never visited it, there's a sign saying camping).

It’s looked very sorry these past couple of years - all locked up and overgrown. It’s just behind the Mandraki hotel

Yes Kate I remember when I stayed in Kouk I went for a walk up into the hills and came back down somewhere around that area and inadvertently ended up walking through the campsite. It wasn't busy even then in 2013. My first memories of camping were family holidays in Wales, probably late 60's. A always woke up frozen and the sleeping bags in those days acted like sponges soaking up the moisture in the air. I don't think I've ever done it as a holiday in my adult life. I might consider it on something like an African safari if it's all set up for you. I bought a one man pop up tent to stay one night at a music festival several years ago and it was the most unconfortable nights sleep I'd had in years. I barely managed 4 hours. Couldnt get it packed up and drive home quick enough next morning. The wilderness looks great on photos but I suspect I'd be rubbish at it.

I’m fairly good at it. I WAS fairly good at it back in the days before many of you were born! The fresh air was great and I slept like a log. In fact, there was only one thing wrong - I snore. Loudly. Enough to wake people at the other end of the campsite.

Our best camping experience was in France the summer before we got married. Our friend was working at a Eurocamp site near La Rochelle, so we took our frame tent with us and she brought us a cooker, fridge and double bed from their stores! Our worst was a couple of years later when we took the same tent to the Bromyard Folk Festival .... there was a mighty storm while we we out in the pubs and we came back to find our tent had blown over a hedge into a field, buckled and soggy beyond redemption. We had to abandon it & sleep in the car. No more camping ever, since then!
