If it's still open in September I'll go.

Never been that bothered but maybe I should try to fit in a visit if there's a decent alternative to *that* film on while I'm there. Mum will probably cajole me into going if its last chance.

Oh dear, I feel another campaign coming on. I've only been twice, but the open air cinema is an icon, they mustn't close it. Surely it's an economic business - whenever we've been, it was packed.

Maybe you and Vera can take it over like Bill Travers and Virginia McKenna did in that old film?

Maybe you and Vera can take it over like Bill Travers and Virginia McKenna did in that old film? I think that there is a wee difference between running a cinema and raising Elsa the lioness, or were you thinking of another film, Kev? 😄 Bob

Did Bill Travers and Virginia McKenna take over the cinema? Perhaps they’ll come back and take it over again?

I missed the closing night. It was the night after I arrived, and I was unaware until too late.
Signs say closed due to the area being redeveloped.
I did hear from 'an informed source' that it says this every year, and that they will be open next year.
We shall see...
