Greek Salad and a glass of rosé at the Bourtzi.
Another first. The Bourtzi, that is. I’ve had Greek Salad and rosé before.
What a lovely setting.

Mosquito news.
Bitten three times last night in my sleep, all on my left hand.
I had the mosquito repellant unit plugged in the wall, but not turned on.
D’OH!

As Michael Caine might say - "You're not supposed to blow the (Word Deleted) doors off, you're supposed to wee with the door shut!"

Sorry Dennis, this one is that bangy-thumpy music again.
Turn the sound down. Or off.

This is what I’m talking about. I left Agustera and was walking back to the hotel, when I saw a bus coming towards me. So I hopped on it, and set off for the town, via the far end of Koukounaries. And I’m not getting off at 4, I’m going all the way to the terminus, which I’ve never done before. Little things, and all that. Little tinker, we'll have you down Kentavros until 3am before the end of the week😆

I think I posted a while ago that I’d emailed/messaged several of my favoured places asking if they’d still be open this week, and every one said they would.
But yesterday I was surprised by just how empty everywhere was, and a number of owners told me they might close early; a combination of end of the season and the whole TC debacle.
Big Bad Wolf say they’re playing by ear on a nightly basis, and may close after tonight if it’s as quiet as last night.

Love the video, YM! And the music .... it’s exactly right (sorry, Dennis!)
The backgammon they play is (I think) called Tavli. By the way, where’s the tiny church - I think I’ve seen a photo of it before, but have no idea where it is.
Looking forwards to the next instalment!

Is the church the one at the top of Papadiamanti Street, on the left as you go down the hill?
The music is of course dreadful. I am thoroughly jealous becaus I love Tavli and have NEVER seen anybody playing it in Skiathos - when I've seen Greeks playing it elsewhere, it is a thing of passions.

Spot on, Dennis. About the church, that is. 😀 The guys playing Tavli had a stall just next to the war memorial selling olive oil based products.

So today, rugby at Agustera in the morning, then back to the hotel for lunch and laying by the pool.
Back to the room for a shower, and FaceTime the family. I’m now at Bus Stop 22 (not that you’d know, the number has completely disappeared - bleached out by the sun, I think), herding west.
Bus has just picked my up. Pint at Agustera, than a walk to Agia Eleni for the sunset.

Great video YM. View looks similar to the upgraded room (we paid for 😅) circa 2014! Per TA comments earlier today; those on cancelled repatriation flights have been sent to the Palace. Have you noticed a influx? Know for a fact some have been accommodated at Panorama & Myrtia & also have friends sent to the Alkyon in town. Whatever, enjoy your stay. Can recommend a a lovely pool bar, Theodora, up by bus stop 15. Usually closing by now but staying open to accommodate cancelled TC flights.
