Having flicked through other sites , trying not to feel both angry and depressed, whoa is me seems to be the order of the day. we need repatriation, no you’re just on a different flight home. we have booked for next year and don’t know what to do, get your refund and rebook chaos at the airport, TC reps in attendance, working without pay. i am aware several people on this site have been effected, either by loosing booking, awaiting repatriation, or looking for an alternative flight for next year. But not one comment of complaint good on you all, hopefully Kate will update about her families adventures, and the pressure on YM to give us a grand finale on updates is immense, I am confident he will come through. however we still await final instalments from our global moderator, just saying.

In a situation like this, I think it is natural that people will panic, especially when we are reading that some holidaymakers are being held to ransom by hoteliers - pay up or get out - despite reassurances from the CAA to the hoteliers that they will get paid. There are around 150,000 holidaymakers in accommodation in a number of countries around the world where TC operated, how are the CAA going to contact them all within a couple of days of the crash? Some newspapers are already reporting the success that some future holidaymakers have started to get their money back for 2020 bookings via their credit and debit cards but that may not be the case for everyone. What about those that have shelved out between £10 - £30k for their dream weddings abroad. If they cannot get their money back for flights and accommodation so that they can rebook via another operater, they will lose all the money they paid out for third party payments. TC reps working without pay are not just wonderful advocates for TC but are also wonderful human beings that are putting others above themselves but again, I have read that they will be paid - how that will happen is beyond me. Where are they going to find the money from to pay them? Can we believe anything we read? If you have been impacted by this I suppose it is hard not to have the 'woe is me' feeling. It is human nature.

I totally endorse what Dave has said. Although I understand the concerns of those affected by this debacle, it is refreshing not to have it repeated over & over on here. Must add that I’m proud of our young ‘uns - they’re not a bit concerned about how/when they’ll get home! For them, it’s just part of the adventure ...

we still await final instalments from our global moderator, just saying. I actually spent three hours yesterday morning trying to correct that situation. I compiled a lovely video to accompany my continuation on Monday 16th September and wrote about it. The whole lot simply went to the pixels in the sky. I think the video went because at a mere 6 minutes long it was fine until I decided to do a Yorkshiremouth and added a soundtrack - complete experiment which went completely wrong and the writeup of Monday went the same way because I was multi-screening to get the video in the right place. Photobucket just sat gobbling away until I gave up, then FaceBook did the same, then it all went up in smoke. Then, before I could try to resurrect it, I got a call to deliver (175 miles) to Manchester, where I got trapped amongst the advance preparations for the Tory conference - more police than you can shake a stick at. Fortunately, the policeman who directed me where to park and walk from, intervened and persuaded the traffic warden not to ticket me. Got home diverted off for two or three motorway closures for nightworks at 10:30pm, then realised I'd left my nice folding trolley with the packages! - #bit fedup #£70onAmazonfora replacement.
