Yes, I saw this earlier. Random date in June came in at £225 pp to include 22kg luggage, pre booked seats & meals! Currently considering Sept next year, again a reasonable £290 pp. Flying with them to Cyprus next week 😀 usually handed a £60 “Rain cheque” ..... Wonder if talks with hoteliers are ongoing with a view to packages .........

Yes I tried a dummy run to see what it would cost mum from Manchester at end of August and it was under £300 if going out on Wednesday for 11 days and pick the return flight on a Sunday. I don't think she will go on her own anyway but it gives an idea for possible trip in 2021.

This is great news. Lots of complaints about the prices immediately after TC went under, but there was always going to be a short term hike.

hopefully this will shut up, all the witterers and prophets of doom on face book, convinced of the end of skiathos. Usually the same ones who think they own a taverna seat, want to know what the weather will be in 3 months time, or think its only them the waiter is big chums with. Sorry for rant some people do wind me up ! Jet 2 packages to skiathos will be added next week

jet 2 also added Stansted to their list , good news for our southern friends, Newcastle seems to be the only airport not covered, lots of Geordie voices on Manchester flights me thinks

Without sounding too negative they still have some way to go to pick up all the slack of TC but its a step in the right direction. Its understandable that they are targeting the big cities first with large populations reasonably close to the airports (London, Birmingham, Manchester) but if these routes prove profitable they might take a chance on some of the more provincial airports. Surprised they haven't taken a punt on Newcastle yet, must be a good sized catchment area up there. Nothing from Luton, Gatwick, East Mids or Bristol either yet. As I said they may be using the routes announced so far as a test and maybe take on more in subsequent years if there's money to be made.

I recall they were a bit 'in your face' trying to sell you stuff (especially scratchcards) on the flight but most airlines have gone like that. I vaguely recall a delay because there was an issue with one of the pilot cockpit windows but I don't think it was a huge delay. It's all a bit orange inside

Cariad, I held back from agreeing with your original post re FB, book after reading recent posts, I must tend to agree, it appears the world and his wife have booked with jet2, the unfortunate part Being J2 do not have certain peoples desired accommodation, sorry Mike. It is fabulous many of us can fly to Skiathos from our desired airport next year, but a shame Gatwick and Newcastle not yet covered, this may mean somebody’s seat in a certain front line bar could be empty. Just saying

Yes dave ive stayed at Mikes twice, absolutely fantastic. They are all so thoughtful, so many memories from there, watching mamma mia at midnight by the pool, seeing seemingly quiet guests belting out a song on kareoke. Those lovely dogs, Bella used to stand behind my husbands sunbed and drop her ball over his shoulder into his lap. My two favourite places on skiathos are Oasis and Angelika both excellent, both run by owners who do all they can to make sure everyone he has a special holiday. Mike and Nicos are brilliant ambassadors for Skiathos

I assume Mike has done a deal with TUI? If they keep their airfares high even as part of a package then there are some that will baulk at the price, especially if its from one of the 3 airports that J2 have started their opening gambit with. Mind you, even J2 prices have gone up since the large number of bookings people have made in last couple of days. I did a test 'theoretical booking' on Weds for a return flight with J2 late August from Manchester and it was £278, same flight is now £395. I did finally get round to going to the Oasis but it was from the Tennis Club and it got me to the back gate which was locked and you couldnt really see anything. There was a sign asking to ring the bell but I didn't want to intrude and didnt hav emuch time to spare so didnt go in. Seen plenty of photos, looks like my sort of place. Maybe one day.

At first I thought TUI might react to Jet2 by dropping their prices. But on reflection, I can only think they might drop back to the prices they were charging before TC went down the pan (upon which they bumped everything up). Logically, they were making a profit (presumably) when competing with TC, so why change because J2 comes along with fewer flights and airports than TC?
