you should have rang bell kev (actually gate usually its open anyway) they are so friendly and welcoming stacks of sunbeds and room so you are not inconveniencing their guests. if you walk in front the front off the road there is no bell or gate. We have met some lovely people there everyone seems to get on. The food there is great if you want a change from going out at night. we had a couple of rainy days everyone decamped to the bar, played pool chatted mike played lots records to make people smile all featuring rain, ! He even has washing machines on site, brilliant for people with children, he leaves shopping trollies on wheels out for people to use going to the supermarket nearby no lugging heavy bottles water, wine etc. on flight days, he puts out towels shower gels , there are shower rooms available so you can make the most of your last day. It would be a great place for your mum to stay if she was on her own because all the guests chat to each other.

Thanks I will bear it in mind in case she suddenly decides to go on her own and is looking for a late deal. She was supposed to be going to Goa with a friend (she's been a few times before) but it was a TC booking so shes having to go through the Atol claims process. Shes not been in great health recently so is rapidly going off re-booking Goa even after she gets the refund. If she doesnt book anything else before we go to Parga in August and she sees a cheap late deal for early summer in Skiathos she just might go for it. Shed probably go for a package though.

ive been to Goa a few times, loved it but not the place to be if not well. Its a long flight if not feeling well. I was seriously ill when we returned home the last time and its put me off returning. we ve already booked june holiday, but when i saw jet 2 flight prices we were going to book a sept week, when i went on to book yesterday prices rocketed. package prices reasonable, but none of accommodation appeals, i'm not staying out of town again. I shall hold on and keep an eye on prices

TUI now announced flights from Newcastle, East Midlands and Bournemouth for next year. I've just done a 'what if' booking from EMA at the time of year I like to go, coming back as either sold out or (getting further and further back in the summer until I found available dates), £600 return. Shocking profiteering.

We were hoping for someone to pick up the TC Bristol route but thinking this would’ve happened by now so booked from Birmingham with Jet2, TUI fly from Bristol but changed to a Friday next year and sooooo expensive. We managed to pick up flights for 2 with baggage (whopping 22kgs) for about £100 less than TUI want for 1! We live in Cornwall so here’s hoping another airline gets underway for 2021.

Long drive to Birm, could you get ryan air flight from Newquay to birm to save the drive and parking ? When i lived in cornwall (wadebridge) there used to be daily shuttle from newquay to city of london airport, BA fly from there to skiathos
