As you know, I’m not a Snapper whipping about, so hopefully you will understand this. After thirteen weeks (and still counting) lockdown/isolating/shielding, whatever, against Corona virus, yesterday we finally said blow it and went to find a horizon which showed beyond the cherry trees in our garden. Drove 12 miles to a local picnic spot with toilet (closed of course) and views across 20 miles or more over the Severn river valley Although there’s a burger van (open for takeaways) we played safe with our own flask and egg mayo granary rolls in silver paper and were determined not to get out of the van. Getting out was not an option in light of the fact that we actually went out to celebrate that it was due to rain on our parched garden and it proved to be an accurate forecast. So why “ooops”? When we got home we duly reported to the kids that we had taken advantage of their permissions and been out to Toghill picnic area. “Ah, that’s the dogging site”! Which explains the rather strange manoeuvring of several cars with single occupants.

Priceless! and how do your kids know its a dogging site !!! Reminds me of when my dad first widowed he decided to invest in a laptop to pass the time after a few fraught lessons from my son ,he was away. Telling us of his google adventures learning about machinery, countries etc. AS a keen garden bird observer with a well filled feeder, he spotted a bird he didnt know and typed in "early Morning Birds" ! Well he said ive got e mails from young ladies wanting to do very strange things to me, and at 87 still had a great sense of humour. we had to explain be very careful what you type, after another incident when he typed clubs to meet other pensioners. I think we will be having some laughs next june Dennis

Actually, I’ve never known what dogging is, just understood from the context in which it was used, together with the winks, nods and laughs, that it is something rude. So I’ve rather surprised myself by googling it just now.
I don’t know how the 50 year + kids know about it, but the 20s+ grandkids also squealed with laughter at it.
I didn’t think it was something one does!

Dennis' you might find this song by Fascinating Aida enlightening. Not fòr people who do not appreciate "adult humour". This is from the people who brought us "Cheap Flights". Again, not for people of a sensitive disposition.

And just to think, only a week ago, I didn't know what dogging was. From context I presumed it was something rude, but no real idea.

If you'd like a list of words which sound rude, and probably are, and what they mean, just ask.
