I love using oregano in cooking. I must have had my eyes closed when buying crisps in Skiathos as only ever go for the plain ones as I dont like what I call the weird crisps with weird names/flavours BUT Ive never spotted Oregano flavour and I really fancy trying some. I know our Dennis is partial to them. Can we get them at home anyone know? What a silly girl I am not finding them there hmm 🤦♀️
So far as I’m aware, you can only get them online. I don’t know why Walkers don’t have them, because Lays brand is Walkers. Plus you only have to mention them on a Greek forum to get a lot of interest.
We isolate ourselves, so that when we get back together, no one is missing
oregano crisps best ever. lays crisps say piyavn (oregano) i bring fresh greek oregano back every year which tastes entirely different to oregano bought here. Alot of islands i pick up in the hills dry on the balcony strip the dried leaves off the stem and rub between my hands to crumble. then pack in poly bags at home i put into jars i sprinkle on chips, roast potatoes feta, greek salad. when i undo the jar and smell the fragrance im transported back to greece. Also sprinkle on plain crisps. When i go to stoupa you can buy big bunches in the supermarket or off the back of vegetable truck. I'll have a packet waiting for you next year Dennis.
Same here Di. My neighbour, who has been doing my shopping for me since lockdown, returned yesterday and informed me that he got everything on my list except the oregano crisps! I had put it on the list as an LOL item 😁
