I had to fork out €20 for a taxi each time I ate in Town, last week. It’s not really possible to have an aperitif and then a leisurely dinner and still catch the last bus this year. However, all the taxi drivers I used seemed very happy!

Olive Thea last night, so we didn’t have to pay for transport either way.

Just on the subject, is my favourite lady bus conductor bloke conducting a bus this year?

And your daughter is the only one in the family who is not a secret agent. 😀

I’ve not been to Olive Thea, never got it squeezed in. I’ve stayed a few times at the Paradise Hotel along the road from it, same kind of view plus a view inland from their restaurant - quite stunning at evening time. Paradise Hotel’s restaurant (Anastasia’s) very good also.

A good day yesterday. Bus into town, and the girls (and Theo) did a bit of shopping, while I had a glass of beer at the Bourtzi.

To Salt & Pepper for tea. They had draught Eza Premium Pilsner. I had the crispy lamb chops.

Salt & Pepper.
I’d heard they were good but also heard they were under new management, so feared I’d missed the boat.
In all honesty, this was a very pleasant surprise. Clearly intended to be a bit more of a posh experience than a typical taverna, but frankly not particularly expensive.
I had the lamb chops as they’re a traditional Greek dish, but one I’d never had in Greece before. Crispy, so the fat was deliciously sweet. Not tough. Not to ‘between your teeth’ annoying. I got four, and there was only a small bit of bone in each.
Freya and Julie has a rack of ribs each. Massive portions.

However, all the taxi drivers I used seemed very happy! At least you'll be in town for your second visit - leisurely dining service will be resumed!
