Thanks Kev, but don’t please repeat flight changes unless accompanied by a guarantee it doesn’t apply to Bristol airport!
For seating, my flying fear means I MUST have a proper seat (wing and window) so I pay extra to be able to select. Indeed I have already selected our seats, but not knowing about the window I hope two things - 1 I can find out which of those three rows is definitely windowed and 2 that one of them will still be available for me to change online. Back in the days before everybody else was born, I used to pay extra to EasyJet for Speedy boarding so that I got on first and grabbed my preference.

If you know which type of aircraft TUI have changed to for the Bristol to Skiathos flights there may be schematics online somewhere to assist with seat choice? It wont be a massive plane due to the short runway so that should rule out some types?
Re flight times just try a dummy booking on the date you are going and see what current flight times are. When TUI contacted me with confirmations last year the outward flight was 13:30 but I know it's been changed to 16:30 ages ago yet to my knowledge I've never had a time change email from them. I guess they will finally come clean when I do the online check in! I'mexpecting longer wait times for processing so I think we will be at the airport in plenty of time which means a long days travel. Might have time to nip over to Kentavros for a night cap

There is a plane diagram for use when selecting my seat, so I’ve chosen row 12 which is in the right place, at the wing root. The diagram shows seat rows, wings, entrances, toilets and galleys, but not windows. Obviously, windows are in the side, so the seat I’ve selected is at the side also. I’ve done that for every TUI flight since our first flight to Skiathos. But the seats are fixed to the floor at whatever spacing suits TUI, starting from the front and working back, the selected spacing points don’t match the window spacing. So one year I chose the wrong row, between two windows. Three rows of seats are in the right place, rows 12, 13 and 14 and I want to find out which one is best matched to a window so that if it’s not row 12, I may be able to change my selection online to 13 or 14.
The flight time has remained at 06:35 ever since we first booked the package in January 2019, still the same for all four changes to two holidays to 2020, 2021 and 2022

Ah I see, sounds you'd be pretty unlucky to get stuck with no window again, they had probably shuffled some around for an unusual load perhaps on that occasion.
I think my flight times have changed as TUI have settled in to EMA. They never flew to Skiathos from here and initially just took over the slot that TC had vacated. That in itself had slowly changed from 2 flights on Friday (9am and 12pm) to then 1pm and finally 1:30pm around the point that TC went bust.
I booked my flights as part of a Loveholidays package way back in Sep last year (I could get them cheaper now but not going to faff about cancelling and redoing the holiday at this stage) and the TUI confirmation was 13:30 out and 19:30 return, however if I look up the flights now both outward and return are about 3 hours later than these times. I've tried emailing TUI for clarification but every email address I find is a no reply address, even th eones that don't seem to be, all come back as failed to deliver including their contact email address on their own site. I'm assuming the later times and this will be confirmed when I eventualy do the online check-in, I think its just a bit poor customer relations not to have informed me by now.

I think it probably is me to go first, Dave … the guinea pig 😂 Only two more sleeps and then I’ll be off ✈️ To say I’m excited is something of an understatement!
I’ve done the Greek plf and booked a day two test (drive through at Manchester airport) and started to fill in the uk plf, but can’t continue until 48 hrs before my return. I’ll let you all know how smooth (or not) it is. I had a quick panic earlier and tested myself, just in case someone had unkindly given me the pestilence, but I’m happily still negative.
I suppose I’d better do some packing tomorrow!

What did you decide to do about the fit to fly test before returning to UK?

Hi Kev, will most likely book it at the medical centre - just to make sure the uk will let me back in! Unless, of course, the rules change again while I’m away 😏

Haven’t posted before but I’m flying out on Wednesday also, so will try and post about the experience to help others and any tips I pick up on the way. It was relatively straightforward last year but we didn’t have the tests to contend with then. So fingers crossed it’s plain sailing or should I say flying. Into the unknown we go. Hopefully the goalposts won’t be moved in the next 24 hours.

All this testing is starting to get me down, much more and I won't have any upper nostril left🙄 I'm still working in France and now they've changed the rules again I've got to get a pcr in France, book a 2 and 8, isolate for 10 days before I hopefully fly out to Skiathos on the 28th August plus all the form filling 😌 oh well it'll be worth it.

Can’t possibly be worth it EGG. You’ll be flying home before we arrive and you’ll miss my birthday party AGAIN!

Unless, of course, the rules change again while I’m away 😏 I think this will be my most likely scenario too so will be interested to hear of your experience when you get back. Fewer flights on Wednesdays so maybe for you the queue at the medical centre won't be too bad? Have a great time anyway. The Old Port House in town opens tomorrow just in time for you, seating only though apparently.

I must be the only Brit who’s not keen on the OPH, Kev! I’ll probably have a drink at GinFish tonight… and if I’m not too tired will wander over to Totem to see what’s happening!
Welcome Jubby1 … are you flying from Manchester, too?

Actually you are not the only Brit I've encountered who won't set foot in the place, each to their own is fine by me it spreads folks around. You will have to test out the new 'Icebreaker' at Ginfish. Hope the journey out is as stress free as possible. I thought the band in at Totem in 2019 were a bit sub-par tbh so I didn't go in as often as I might otherwise, I was down the Blind Dog more often. Didn't visit last year at all so it will be a bit fresh and new again for me this year so looking forward to it. I know work will be hell this this academic year I've seen the provisional timetabling so I'm really looking for a relaxing break before the preverbial hits the fan. HAVE A FANTASTIC HOLIDAY

Thank you, Kate We flew from Manchester T2, very straight forward Jet2 where very good and we had no problems. Just had PLF and vaccinations certificate to show and the rest as normal. Skiathos airport was relatively organised 4 people checking papers while another checked passports so didn’t take too long. Random lateral flow testing which you had to wait 10 minutes for results that came on your phone ( so remember to turn airplane mode off lol ). Bags waiting for us , and at last the holiday begins 😎

Just as well you are on the Friday flight Dennis, looks like TUI are dropping a lot (maybe even all?) of the Tuesday flights from Bristol this year. I guess too many people have opted out this year and they can't fill those flights, maybe they have moved some original Tuesday travellers to the Fridays to fill those planes up?
