my three sons never stayed still long enough to get a sunbed for them, i seem to remember alot of places they were free. i remember hotel in corfu nisski beach hotel, charged for sunbeds round the pool as there were 5 of us and there for 14 days couldnt afford it, the boys were in the pool .or sea most of the time. when we asked for a ball for the table tennis table by the pool you had to pay to hire it too , so we bought some from a shop. The drinks especially soft drinks were very expensive at the bar, we used to walk along unlit path through olive grove at the side of steep drop to the sea to the next village to use a taverna there at night. As we were regulars they lent us a torch for the walk back. never been back to corfu i think my least favourite greek island

Sunset Studios.
I like them, and I’ll post more about them later.
For now, just one thing. This swimming pool’s floor is the steepest I’ve ever encountered.
It’s nice, though. Perfect size pool for the number of sun beds, which in turn only just get full at absolute peak, something we’ve only seen twice, for around an hour each time. To be fair, the hotel isn’t full, though. On the other hand, there’s be more out in non-Covid times.

Well, we finally made it back to the White View.
Well worth it, but I’ll just offer this for now.
They open at 8:00pm. The sunset is nominally at 8:00pm, though it disappears behind the main land’s terrain at about 7:45pm.
Earlier in August will doubtless be better. But I recommend anyone wanting the full view ensure they book in for 8:00 rather than later.

Koukounaries this morning.
I’m not mad on this beach due to the crowds, though it’s never as bad as I convince myself.
Still plenty of sun beds left at noon local time, which is perhaps a surprise, though more likely to be just a sign of how things are quietening a little.
Based on prices at Jet2/TUI, I think it’ll possibly be just a tad more crowded the first fortnight in September. Lots of adults want as close to peak as possible whilst avoiding the kids (though next week is the last week of the summer break for most English secondaries). Lots of others just like it that little bit off-peak for the slightly cooler weather.

Must look out for that one. Interesting about thunderstorm yesterday, absolutely nothing in town at all that I saw or heard, maybe localised over kouk peninsula and moved north?

Sunsets - I think I got spoiled for good watching it set over Meteora last year. Glad you are liking the accommodation. Id forgotten about the slope on the pool, think the builder had been on the ouzo😅

A new one on me. Mythos Ice. 4.4%. Not bad. I may be wrong, but I think the ABV of mythos is around the 5% mark

I saw a video someone had posted from town - I think they were sheltering near Sea U and it was hammering down. Perhaps it was very short-lived!
