It's been noted that the webcam's clock is an hour slow - it's just coming up to 10 here, so Greece +2 hours = just coming up to 12, but the webcam says just before 11.
But I've also noticed that, in addition, the feed is about 30-40 seconds slow, too.
I'm going to see if I can pop up on the webcam either later this month, or in September.

I think they didn’t bother to correct it when the clocks changed in March, so if you hold on until October it will then be correct. 😇

I'm going to see if I can pop up on the webcam either later this month, or in September. Now there’s a project. You need to carry your phone/tablet and using the (quite good) GR Vodafone 4G make the following arrangements :- Get us all watching the webcam at the right time (that’s when you are up there in the viewing line of sight). You look on your device and make sure your head shows when the camera looks that way. Can’t wait.

The good news is that I can see the webcam on my phone, so I can look for myself live.
The bad news is that I can’t zoom in on the image, so I’ll need a magnifying glass to see myself.

There’s only one place where heads can appear. If you stand there holding your phone in one hand (watching it of course) then raise your arm you’ll probably be able to see something sticking out of the blob at the bottom of the screen and that’ll be you. Of course, remember to stand there long enough to tell us you’re there, then stay until the camera brings up that view a few times to give us chance to see you. If you hold your breath whilst doing so, it should give you quite an experience!🤣

Or you could try the smart way and put up a sign telling everybody to smile and wave, they’re on Candid Camera and that could fool us all and save you a long wait.

Best place to stand?

Because I can't afford all the pixels, here's two birds with one stone.
You will pose up on the clocktower forecourt with your back to the old port - with your magnifying glass, observe this picture in which you are positioned in front of the hedge (or whatever it is that grows there looking like a hedge). At the tip of the red arrow, there is a stand-in for your head, already in position. I'm guessing the person is slightly shorter because I've seen enough with faces before now.
The position marked with the white arrow is where I stand to wave to the camera - you go up the steps, I keep my heart steady by not going up the steps.

It might be wise for you to take a box with you to stand on.

I didn’t realise you could sneak your head in there, good spot!
I was thinking ow where you suggested - either in front of the Bourtzi or at the t-junction with the long jetty on the other camera angle.

I’ve seen the faces of people standing at the end of Dennis’s arrow (without the arrow). I think they must have been standing on the seat or the wall, but their faces were very clear. (Apart from the ones with acne.) 🙈

If you go to Dennis’s spot you could always bring along one of the huge polystyrene hands with the pointing finger which you could wave, then we couldn’t miss you!

When you try this you may have to stand there for a wee while as timing might be an issue. I’ve just brought the camera up on my iPhone and my iPad and they are showing different views.

Anywhere else is usually at longer apart intervals.

Bob, the ones that I've seen with faces are usually wandering to and fro, so I assumed they were on terra firma, rather than on a wall or seat. I rather think the one on my screenshot is a child's head and was still enough to be doing a wee as you recommend.
