Okay, as we're now familiar with the island, when we go in October (8th visit) we're not with the kids, and want to try new things. With a bit of luck we'll check out 7 new tavernas in the week.
We usually go to (or have been to):
TOWN Mesogia Gravisi Asprolithos Sophie's Family Restaurant Final Step Primavera Astoria
Inland Olive Thea Platanos
Achladies Paradise Porta Rosa
Troulos Salt & Pepper Nectar & Ambrosia
Koukounaries White View Big Bad Wolf Ottimo Captain Michalis Under the Pine Tree
Probably a few others which I've forgotten.
Can you recommend somewhere I've not been? Maybe somewhere you visit every time you go, somewhere notable, somewhere unique.
Cheers.

I spent a day in Vromlimos beach yesterday and Porto Paradiso restaurant was lovely. You do need a car - or not mind a walk that includes hills. Otherwise, Paraxenos on Evagelistrias St in town is always worth a visit.

Oooh - what about Cookoonari? You should try it if you haven’t already. I also love AlaMar next to it.

Me again! I just realised that you’ll be in AP & not Kouk - there are (apparently) some fab eateries there. Rob & Martha were recently at the Atrium and had good meals in Maestrali, Boubanakia (?) and Green Park. Didn’t think the service was good at Khoyli - tho the food was.

In town - Ricchie e Poveri and Marmita are both worth a visit. The only problem with R&P is that if there are four of you then you might not get a balcony table which give best views but the food is a great alternative to the usual Greek menu, it's tapas. I know you are not staying in Kouk now but if you go back for old times sake it looks like you haven't done Strofilia. Not an essential but a nice little family run place from what I remember. If you want a different family night out then taxi to Olive Thea or Agnadio if you are at either before sunset the views are great.

Only two of us this time around, Kev.

I would certainly recommend Ergon , Greek food with a contemporary twist, evidently the owner was a finalist on the Greek version of master chef

We’re giving Maestrali a go tonight. Owner says they’re open tonight and tomorrow, but after that who knows.
