Seems mix and match is the way forward, after having 2 AZ jabs our booster was Pfizer , must say My arm was very sore for a few days after the booster , not sure if this was down to the vaccine or the way it was administered, although actual jab was painless

That’s based purely on my personal experience, it’s be interesting to see some research.

My booster was the Pfizer, as were my first two jabs, with no after effects. I also had the flu jab at the same time and that arm was sore for about 24hours, which was a bit annoying as it was on the side that I sleep on. I had never had any after effects with the flu jab before, so,maybe as you say, it was down to technique.

Cariad, I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. Awful and shocking news and it seems there’s no rhyme nor reason to how very ill some apparently healthy people become and also how some in at risk groups seem to get the virus quite lightly. Personally. I’m still quite careful where I go and who I mix with … and I wear a mask when shopping 😷

If you go on the site for the british rheumatological society. it gives details Fourth jab for the immunosuppressed announced last night. At the moment, that’ll officially be ‘4 jabs then a booster’, but for the foreseeable future I suspect it’ll just be a rolling series of jabs for the most venerable, every 2-3 months.

I’m a venerable. But I’m not blocking a bed (yet). Does that mean that we have to call you Brother Bede now?
