Yes, and one more thing you’ll be able to tell us within minutes of landing.
Are they random testing.
It’s pretty much the last thing that might ruin a holiday.

40 days today for me (and I've updated my signature at Dennis' suggestion).
It will go quite quickly. I have the rest of this week and most of next week off (I'm only in a week on Friday).
The week after is a 'normal' full week.
The week after that is May Day week, and I'm taking the Tuesday off (I have Wednesday off every week).
It's then only a half week, two full weeks, and another half week before we go.

So two weeks and two half weeks to go. That’s ages! In two month’s time I’ll only have 10 days to go. Can’t sleep for the excitement!

i paid final installment last week, counting down now. Anyone used escape lounges at the airport, usually everywhere rammed, food expensive, so thinking of booking £30 each free drinks and buffet and guaranteed seat, should be better than awful plane food

Cariad, we always use the lounge unless we have a really early flight, not that we drink excessively, but the fact you’re guaranteed a seat and not overcrowded is a benefit. The food is usually of a decent quality and plentiful. I feel it’s money well spent, the relaxation factor against the hustle and bustle of the general airport is a great way to start your holiday

The front of one of the heavies this morning, they’re suggesting passengers drop of luggage U.K. to a day before, and they’re planning on having night-time drops so they can spread it out a bit.
I’m not sure how much this will help, as most of the queues appear to be at security, which you have to do at the time.

Hmm. Our local airport charges a zillion pounds to drop off people so now they’ll want two zillion, once for bag drop and again for passenger drop off.

Hmm. Our local airport charges a zillion pounds to drop off people so now they’ll want two zillion, once for bag drop and again for passenger drop off. So we're going from Leeds-Bradford this spring, which is a 50-60 minute car journey each way. There's a short-stay car park, £12 for under an hour, £15 for 1-2 hours, £17 for 2-3 hours. Alternately the train journey is around 1 hour 15, £10.50 each, so £21 for the two of us. L-B doesn't seem as bad as Manchester at the moment. I'm waiting and seeing. It's a PITA, and frankly at this stage we could do without what we've seen in that footage. I can only imagine it'll be chaos over the Easter weekend. Frankly, not helpful to an already beleaguered tourism sector. I can't believe no one saw this coming. Whilst nothing has been certain, it's looked likely that the season would start on time for some months now, and the pent-up demand was always gong to be there.

Most Covid entry requirements to be dropped from 1st May. This includes the requirement to show your vaccination status either at the border, or when entering a taverna.
Mandatory mask wearing to be dropped from 1st June.
New cases have fallen by 27%. Numbers in normal hospital wards has fallen by 18%. The number in intensive care has fallen by 10%. Deaths have fallen by 4%.
Yes, I’m getting the vibe.
