Just got back from 2 weeks in Troulos and had a fantastic holiday. Got to agree with everything previously said about the friendliness of the people (including visitors) and the laid back atmosphere. We loved Troulos itself (although I agree wasps on the beach were a bit of a nuisance), ate in most of the tavernas and never had a bad meal. Our favourite was Ratatouille but we did love Salt and Pepper too. Couldn't get over portion sizes - started out having starters but soon dropped that off as couldn't then eat main meal! Enjoyed Mamma Mia in the open air theatre (what an experience!)and found Skiathos town amazing. The boat trip to Skopelos and Alonissus was well worth doing - we booked on the harbour and not via the rep which saved a few euros and was exactly the same trip. The holiday was everything we expected after reading this bulletin board but don't think we shall become boomerangers as there are still too many other places we want to visit. Betty

Thank you bettyboop. We haven't seen Mama Mia á la open air, but I guess we shall next year (it's been on TV any number of times during the past few weeks and I still enjoyed it - maybe a beer or wine will make it even more enjoyable). We really must try the boat trips too. But we SHALL be going back as boomerangers, the only part of your report I can't agree with.
By the way, this IS wasp time in Greece, they like the maturing grapes and other fruit.
