Surely by definition, a boomerang is something that comes back? So if you have never been, how can you be a boomeranger? Poor DennisN you seem as confused as your photo appears but I forgive you. The title of the Facebook page is a little strange but the gentleman running it is in mature years. Allow him some slack, he has done an excellent job getting the Boomerang club guys all together again. I am sure you sincerely wish him well

I wasn't *expecting* to become a member, seeing as I am not an *official* boomeranger, but I knew I would enjoy at least reading everyone's posts and viewing their many photo's.. anyway, I was kindly invited to join, even though I've not yet visited, so maybe the term boomeranger isn't as set in stone as it seems... I'm happy to be in the group and hope all the people sharing their stories and photo's appreciate me telling them how much I am enjoying hearing and seeing whatever they post...

I have two reservations about it. First is my inbuilt dislike of Facebook which, to be frank, I regard as the spawn of the Devil. I do have membership of it, but have not posted on there more than half a dozen times. I can put up with the posts about what was eaten for breakfast each day, but the personal stuff is awful - I have a semi relative who has pictures of himself smoking odd stuff, drinking odd stuff and lying around in a stupor. The language is not what I consider to be acceptable in public. I could go on, but I guess you've already got the idea. Second, I felt uncomfortable reading about the boomeranger reunions - illogical I suppose, but it made me feel like an outsider. Much talk about named members that I've never met or even heard of. I wish them every success, because my first information about Skiathos came from that earlier forum, but it's not for me yet. yammas, my avatar photo is probably somewhat akin to the view of my inner brain. And by the way, I'm in mature years myself!
