My daughter and boyfriend have booked flights to Skiathos for a week in July. We have been to Skiathos ourselves many times but always stay in Troulos. Being a young couple they would like to stay in Skiathos Town itself, can anyone recommend any studios/hotel with sea/harbour views? They have found some accommodations that suits their budget but they are all at the back of town. They would also like a balcony to enjoy the views.... I think some of the ones they have looked at do not have balconies or certainly not balconies that you can sit out on.

Hi Lorrainel, Welcome to the forum. I have never stayed in Town before, but a couple of suggestions are: Hotel Orsa - Overlooks the old harbour and Plakes Headland. Located in the back streets above the old harbour. Alkyon Hotel - Near the marina and the bus terminus. Maybe a bit noisy at night though. I am sure there are a few more near the harbour front, but not sure of their names. |

Not stayed there but Angeliki Beach, Megali Ammos seems very popular.

They might like to take a look at www.amfeliki.grIt has 8 rooms with sea views and 3 with inland views. Although I haven't stayed here, I 've heard great things about it. They also gave an excellent restaurant. Bob |
