Look at 1min 52secs for the submarine effect.I thought I had disabled the sound on the video, but obviously not - "They" have improved the iMovie program so that I can no longer do stuff like wot I used to.

Boy was that wet. There is a great little cafe/bakery just where you turned off the ring road. I remember having a very welcome cake and coffee there after having walked back into town from the monastery several years ago. I hope that your cough has improved. Bob

Wow, not a day to be going "off road" in your Jimny. That's a steep old road up to Panorama Pizza, surprised the Jimny made it with all that water.

I've just been looking at your video again Dennis and I noticed the amazing amount of silt discolouring the sea just after your "submarine effect". I hope you don't mind, but I gave your video a mention on the Old Boomerangers FB page. One of the members commented on how much she had enjoyed reading your daily blog. Keep up the good work! Bob

That cough was coming to the end of my man flu.
Notice I stopped just before going up that steep hill - that was to engage 4 wheel drive and the Jimny just sailed up it. The jeep felt glued to the road, very impressed.
I had hoped to post video of the descent and climb out from Kechria beach the previous day. But the camera is one if those dash cams designed to record accidents etc. as the micro SD card fills up, it overwrites the oldest stuff and I didn't realise the card did fill up, so I only have the last half hour, with nothing left of the beach drive. GRRR.
Next year I'll take an extra card - I'm already using the maximum 32Gb.

We snacked at Platanos Taverna and whilst there was still visibility, I watched the silt stain actually spreading out into the sea from the new harbour. Amazing. Then the storm really closed down and the view dropped to zero. I shall try to post a picture where the view is limited to the curtain of water pouring off the taverna's canopy.
