Hi, does anyone know if its true that you are no longer able to get married outside the Bourtzi? We've booked this for 2016 and just read on trip advisor that the new owners of the cafe bar have stopped this and you are only able to marry inside the town hall! Following this can anyone suggest alternative locations preferably outside? Thanks

Hi, I think possibly the best person to ask is Anastasia of Skiathos Blue Travel who organises lots of weddings in Skiathos. Her website and contact details can be found here.

Its just something someones put on trip advidor quite recently which is a little worrying We desperately want to get married in Skiathos but don't fancy the room in the town hall! Do you know of anywhere else they hold weddings? Thanks in advance

Any hotel of your choice that welcomes to organize weddings and wedding events like , La Piscine Art hotel, Skiathos Princess , Skiathos Palace and others On a beach , or on board a nice Caique type boat,if you accept to cover the expenses of the mayors office staff not exceeding 30 Euros Just name your wish ! Hi I am getting married on the bourtsi this September 2016 and Anastasia has informed me there is a new wedding room now available from last year and it's very nice . Also there may be other areas on the bourtsi outside for ceremony to take place but I'm waiting for confirmation on that .

This is interesting. Originally the weddings took place in the room to the right of the building, this is a more traditional room and perfect for a wedding but it was in need of some TLC, a couple of years ago it housed a musical instrument museum, so I wonder if they have now refurbed it and are using it once again for weddings.
Plenty of opportunity for some great pictures outside, you can go down the steps to sea level for the most amazing wedding photos ever.
