Thanks exgreekgod, glad my reports are setting the scene for you. Look forward to yours in 4 weeks time while I am slogging my way through work and the English summer, wishing I was back on the island! :-):-):-):-):-)
I agree with you 're meals. I had expected them to be more expensive so was pleasantly surprised at the cost. May even go home with some money! :-)

Funny, isn't it, this new technology? When I was a youngster, the only telephone near us was in a nice red box at the end of our street and you put old "d" pennies into it to pay and only one house had a car. Everybody on our street saw the coronation on the only black and white set in the street - we all queued to walk in the front door, quick glance (I saw something looking like a gilt carriage), then out the back door and back into the field for the street party. My first mobile phone (about 20 years ago?? !!!) was pretty hefty and ran on AA batteries. Nowadays, we moan like hell when the wi-fi connection drops, the phone signal disconnects or the person at the other end goes all crackly and the video jiggles. And why it gives us this hassle with copy and paste is just plain annoying and should never be allowed - how dare it do that?

Writing these reports Amy has quickly made you a "Senior Member" of the forum. I hope everybody going to Skiathos this year has taken note on how to do feedback! Although just a report when you get home is better than none at all. We all want to hear about your visits.

I wonder who is Large?! Where are you off to today Amy? Greek Gods (even Former Greek Gods) are small. Fat, elderly Yorkshiremen are not. Tomorrow is Thursday, the day on which the large trip boat Ayios Nikolaos carries hostess Victoria with her excellent running commentaries. I haven't the vaguest recollection of the price, but we were satisfied with good value for our money - the dolphin alone was worth the price. I dunno if Amy fancies that, because she's already a seasoned Skopelos veteran - but the trip and views are worth it too (and they play Mama Mia music when they pass the church. She might be going to see Mama Mia tonight?

You wish! We have only 3 days more than you on our countdown Dennis, as I haven' got a clue how to load something like your graphic I just use yours and add 3! Try TickerFactory.com, I picked that up from somebody else's signature. It took me ages to twig how to do it and I'm wondering how I'll get on with my next ticker - it will only take two, so I can't enter June or September 2016 yet. Well, (an hour or so after starting) I went and did a guide, hope it works for you. Click Here - skiathosboomerang.freeforums.net/thread/421/add-countdown-holiday

Day 13 - 27 May
So today my plans were scuppered by my foot. Yes still giving me problems but walking with less of a limp but in this heat swelling quite badly. So I had decided I would do the now famous airport trip to watch the take-off and landings! My foot however had different ideas. By the time I got to the bus terminus it was starting to throb so text my brother and spent a pleasant afternoon on his veranda.
To answer Dennis, I was hoping to catch Mama Mia at the cinema but if you read DJs thread in the general section, the cinema is not open yet! In fact as reported, there was some activity there today with the white paint pot but when I passed earlier this evening, the gates were again chained and padlocked so fear I will miss out on a treat I was really looking forward to! :-( :-(

There is a little coffee shop on the harbour opposite the tourist information kiosk who's name is Gerani. Seasoned boomerangers May know of it, or even passed it, as it is pretty non-descript. There are round tables at the front with the type of chairs you might purchase for the garden - B&Q's take on the film-makers chairs with the material seat and back - but if you look beyond the front of the coffee shop, it is a little delight.
There are small wooden sofas decked out with very comfortable seat pads and cushions in muted browns, yellows, beiges, etc, with even a little gathering of miniature sofas, a table and two wooden folding chairs for children.
