Great feedback, Alfatime. I have only just finished reading it, at 3:45am, both of us having woken in the middle of the night. Such a good read that I have pushed my luck with the laptop battery, which is now down to 30%!

Thank you for sending us some of the magic. Remember the Kechria hill but we chickened out but had to reverse back up. Felt everything was burning. Tyres, clutch then had to navigate around a tree... One scary moment but must check out how to find the at road .

Thank you all for the great feedback received after reading my holiday post. It has certainly made the effort in writing it worthwhile and I am pleased you have taken time to post comments. I have been back in the gym trying to get rid of my mini feta belly that slowly spawned whilst out in Skiathos. I will be returning to the island again this season so who knows there might be another report to write? Best regards, Alfatime

May I just offer one tiny word of advice. Alfatime has said a couple offered information that they had reached Kechria beach "on the flat". Be warned that this is not possible - the road (track) approach from the south is pretty much just as difficult as the approach from the north which he used. You can approach on the flat ONLY by driving to the next beach down - Asselinos Beach - park there and WALK on the flat round the small headland which separates them. I have driven both routes and that southern one is really very little different - Vera wanted to walk out of that one and quite simply didn't have the strength to beat the incline, so she had to endure the climb of death in the Jimny!
