This morning's sccoter's milk crate was full of fish. he paddled it down Papadiamantis with his feet, rather than the engine, shouting "Psaria" (Fish for anyone who doesn't know) and surprisingly he was getting customers here and there (dress shop etc owners).
Sat outside the Cafe / bar opposite Totem (not been to it before). Listened to the band in Totem murder a few Queen songs - before they got much better. Then the fuzz turned up and made Totem shut all the windows and doors... Made our way to Kentavors bar (the one run by George Harrison's love child), before getting a taxi home...
Today, went for a run and sweated my ar5e off. Went to town for brunch at the harbour, the off to Xamemos beach for the afternoon. Sloped off for a spot of fishing & caught 4 x small sea bream (at least I think they were). Nice day.
In the ice cream chest here at Villa Maria, there are what look like white Magnums. Called Boss, they have white chocolate outside and chocolate (brown) ice cream inside. Niko says he has replenished the freezer a few times over summer, but those have not been re-stocked because nobody buys them. They must be disgusting, but if you want one, just say so and I'll bring one into town one morning. Be quick though, he's closing the bar to go to university, last opening day on Friday.
Been mulling about the last few days. Koukanaries, Troulos (where we got a white magnum at the filing station!) etc all very good. Not been to Koukanaries for years as it's always been packed - was lovely, not busy at all... Enjoyed watching the swans in the sea (which seem much more well behaved than English swans!)
Went fishing again, caught 14 fish, 8 were quite big Wrasse type of things.
Went to Asselenios (sp) today, very hot and not an air. Loads of goats about there today, they seem unfussed by us... Can't quite figure them out. There seems to be herder with them, but they more or less do what they want go where they want.
Went to town tonight, very quiet. Had a meal at Dino's which was nice, although felt very stuffed after.
The OH went to bed early, I'm just sitting on the balcony watching the lightening get ever closer, can now hear the thunder... Let's see what tomorrow brings!
