Can't believe how quickly the last year has passed. July 2015 our son & his fiancee booked their Skiathos wedding. Long story, but back in 2011, we felt "forced" to holiday for the first time in Skiathos as our son, who had booked a holiday with his girlfriend & her parents, announced his intentions to "propose" so of course we joined them at Theodora in Kolios. We have returned every year since.......(sometimes twice a year) Last year, after meeting up with Anastasia, wedding planner, & agreeing that a wedding at the Princess or similar was not for them, they decided on Porto Paradiso, Vromolinmos Beach. So, we fly out 24 June from Manchester, lots of family coming out on the same date from Birmingham. Remainder of family & friends arriving in the following week for the wedding 3 July. If anyone is interested will post updates. Can't promise daily but will do my best. 13 sleeps & the bride has her dress packed & ready. The groom has had his suit, taken in 3 times, due to his addiction with the gym! (Currently in Leeds on his stag do dressed as a "Banana"(Ottley Run??) lol) "Sophisticated" Hen party tomorrow afternoon (The Crown, Bawtry, "afternoon tea, cakes & prosecco") Exciting few weeks........

30kg each! You'd better tip the Sherpas very heavily. Clothes for three weeks? Not going to Banana then!
I expect you'll be too busy, but just in case you need a quiet escape, we'll be on the Bourtzi most afternoons.

Tre, if you do venture on to the Bourtzi you'll easily recognise Dennis. He is the man holding up a newspaper with two eye holes cut in it so that he can keep an eye out for me so that he can avoid me, but don't tell him that I'm not there! Have a wonderful time at the wedding and the rest of your holiday. I notice on your checklist that there is no mention of the rings! ?

By the way, Tre, I hope we can look forward to feedback from the groom too (we'll call him Treason for short). (I don't know if Di is taking her son - can't imagine what we'd call him - Hoover?).

My problem, Bob, is I want to start writing already, regardless that I'm not there yet. I break up day after tomorrow because I don't work the last day before we fly and I don't suppose I'll sleep much so I can't count sleeps. And I've no haircuts to go and only two proper shaves to go (that is, non-holiday-shaves, shaves not related to holiday). But I'm not allowed to start feedback until at the earliest we checkin at Birmingham on Friday morning.

Where to start? 30kg, I do have a wedding outfit to pack!! That includes 2 pairs of wedding shoes as I can't decide which! I'm not in charge of the rings. I'm the grooms mother not the best man! Lol Our son is called Dom(Dominic) & his bride is Sofia (Italian heritage) Traditionally we visit the Bourtzi the day after we arrive - usually Saturday lunchtime (ish) And very frequently during our stay. Will look out for you Dennis. (Beware my family on the Birmingham flight!) Hope to catch up with you Di. Thanks everyone for the good wishes. Oh, and did I mention that when I finish work Wednesday, it's due to my retirement!!!!!!!! Yippee

That's incredibly heavy shoes.
As Treason is about to get married, presumably we can ask is Dom jolly?
Contrary to what Bob says, I shall not be wearing a copy of The Times with eye holes - I am a connoisseur of tasteful T-shirts. I'm not sure when we'll get to the Bourtzi on Saturday - hopefully I've got an appointment to be measured for my new plastic teeth Saturday morning and that may disrupt our routine.

Feedback/Buildup, its the same thing. Come on Dennis, packing details required (i.e. How many T-shirts or pairs of budgie smugglers are indeed being put into the case). OK, so you may have to ask Vera the answers to that question.
