Hmm. Can you imagine your flight arriving and everybody making for the bus? We'd all start acting like foreigners, not queueing, how embarrassing! I flew to Chania airport for the first time this year and foolishly booked transfers with Ryanair as an extra. Of course no one turned up to take me to my accommodation and the Ryanair staff were doing their usual chocolate teapot approach to customer relations. I asked a taxi driver how much it would be to take me where I wanted and he asked for 40 euros. I was still chuckling as I walked away. I then noticed a bus and folks were queueing in a very civilised manner and few of them were Brits. Turns out there is a bus every hour from airport to main town and I then took another from town to where I was staying (hotel was opposite a bus stop!) for a grand total of under 6 euros.

One bus an hour for planes disgorging 200 people at a time. Would make interesting watching!
