I am trying to book for next year for me,my husband and our 2 children (Ages 6 & 9), we are booking for around the 23 July for 2 weeks. We have always stayed in Skiathos Town or Megalli Amos, but I am really struggling to find anything for the 4 of us, we would like at least a 1 bed apt preferably with a pool. If anyone could put me in touch with someone who could help that would be brilliant. We ideally wanted to stay at Taxiarchis but they are not showing availability.
Failing staying in town, which would be the best resort which is not too far out of town, but has more accommodation to suit a family?
We haven't been for 5 years and always intended on returning in 2017 to celebrate 10 years since we got married on Skiathos and my 40th birthday. Unfortunately my husband has only just been given his holidays for next year (he is a firefighter), and they have landed right when we didn't want them 😬.
Any help would be appreciated, I am on the verge of giving up 😞

Hi JD, I'm not sure on accommodation nearer town as I have never stayed that close. Have you thought about Kolios or Aghia Paraskevi/Platanias? It is only 15 mins on the bus from town and there is plenty of accommodation here. Not that I am biased (much), but have you looked at either the Theodora or Diamond Apartments in Kolios? Both have pools and I am sure both have rooms for 4 people. Both apartments are within 200 yards of each other down a very quiet lane about 300 yards from Bus Stop 15. Theodora ApartmentsDiamond ApartmentsYou didn't say whether you want a package or independent. I think the Theodora is on a package, but think the Diamond may not be. Woody

Theodora & Diamond are both fabulous. Another to check out is Marina, sold as Kolios but more A Pareskevi. Plenty of good tavernas within easy wslking distance. The only issue with Kolios/Pareskevi at the time you plan to go is the busy bus service. If you plan to hire a car, obviously no problem. If not, I'd seriously look towards Koukoukanaries, where at least in the evening you'll be first on the bus! This is the new link to Theodora theodora-studios-skiathos.com/
