Right, you lot are being fantastic. Could I ask a favour?
This video, it's a drive from Koukounaries to town.
Could someone have a look and give me times codes for the start and finish of the Koukounaries resort (where the tavernas are) and again for the Palace Hotel? It'll give me more of an idea what I'm looking at.
Cheers. Sorry to be a pain.

Ignore Tre! Panic about it, the kids are going to send you nuts.
In the video, it starts in the car park at the far end of Koukounaries - there's an entrance to the beach there and it's also where the bus terminates. Civilisation starts at about 30 seconds and lasts for a good minute - it's driving round that lake. I didn't see Skiathos Palace, but remember Usain Bolt can do it in 37 seconds, so maybe I wasn't watching closely. Or you could PM the film directors - they've got the original.

Ok, seeing as it's raining on a bank holiday in Yorkshire, I've found time do do a recky. From the start of the video, where the bus turns around at 26 these are my findings; 1 min 18 seconds in, Giros under the tree, Agustera Bar, Others follow & you will eventually come to Big Bag Wolf & lastly Mandraki Village Hotel's Elia's Restaurant - they do an unusual "degustation' menu! 2 mins 45 in Skiathos Palace comes into view, with access onto Koukounaries beach on the right (well it wouldn't be on the left! Lol) 2 mins 52, Bus stop 22, Maratha 3 mins 01, Steps I mentioned down from the palace 3 mins 09, Easier access to Maratha Beach Then nothing until 5 mins 13 Troulos, Where you will find Dennis! 7 mins Agia Pareskevi Bus stop 16, nice smattering of restaurants 7 mins 45, you will find me! Kolios Not gone any further. Now I repeat; STOP STRESSING

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
IGNORE TRE, START STRESSING NOW. THOSE KIDS WILL NEED A LOT OF SWAN FOOD and ice creams and so much stuff you won't be able to relax until 2am if you're VERY lucky. And you won't see me because I won't be there same time as you.
On the beach, the children will educate you on what goes into SANDwiches and they'll want wees as soon as you've left the toilet area. You'll wish you'd chosen 't rhubarb triangle for your holiday.

I haven't stayed at the Palace (location did just put me off a bit, preferred to be down in the resort itself) but if you can cope getting to the main road OK then there are plenty of places to eat in Kouk itself or just catch the bus the other way and drop off in Troulos or in Town. Stayed in Kouk 2012 and 2013, enjoyed it both times. Depending on when you are going and what the weather has been like there can be issues with mozzies in Kouk due to the big lake there. When I stayed all week in both 2012 and 2013 I never got bitten once, stayed in Troulos in 2015 (same time of year as previous visits) and took a bus ride into Kouk one night and got bitten to death. However on return to Troulos they said it had been as bad there that particular night anyway. You could catch the bus close to the Palace (once youve got down the drivewway onto the main road) get off at stop 24 or 25 and then walk back the way the bus has come, you will get a look at most of the roadside restaurants in that stretch, though actually one of my favourites is at the 'Palace' end (Big Bad Wolf). They also do a great BBQ night (Sundays I think) at the Mandraki Village Boutique hotel, you don't need to be a guest to go to it, just pay on the day. That is also up the end of Kouk closer to Palace. It's not very big though so soon walk from one end of Kouk to the other. Agustera bar to Big Bad Wolf can't be much more than 10 min on foot.
