Saturday morning and back in the Scottish Borders, sitting with a nice cup of tetley, first load of washing in and the heating on.
What a long day yesterday, picked up from Troulos at 1140, queued outside the airport to check in. Back outside to queue for security. Having been before we knew what to expect especially on a Friday but the folk behind us were not happy at all and others were unaware of the stop off for refuelling. Think we were lucky with the Newcastle flight with just 30 min delay. Not sure going through to departures was the best idea, if was totally rammed but with all the long queues we weren't sure about how long things would take.
As soon as we had reached altitude we began our descent to Kavalla to top up on fuel, we have always flown direct before and it was a bit of a pain especially as we had to wait another 15 mins for air traffic control to let us take off again. It won't put me off returning though, we arrived back at Newcastle just 25 mins late, not too bad considering all flights seemed to have some sort of delay in and out of Skiathos.
We had a really great holiday, wee one had an absolute ball in the pool and sea and make some nice friends. The Skiathos premier was fantastic for us, very luxurious by our standards, pool towels provided, comfy king sized bed, WiFi as good as we have at home and everything very clean and modern with lovely staff.
Thanks to everyone for reading and commenting on my posts, I did warn they wouldn't be too exciting! Hoping we will be back to beautiful Skiathos again, I'll be reading everyone else's feedback to keep me going in the meantime.
