That made me check ours! Luckily, they don't expire til 2021 ~ by which time they'll probably be useless anyway!

I expect it was Brexit that made me wonder if I should bother renewing it then it slipped my mind completely. Never used it anyway, fortunately.

The nice man who stitched me back together at the health centre/hospital last month didn't even ask for mine - maybe he thought I was English? But if he had, it would have been a nuisance as it was back in our accommodation as I carry different wallets for UK and Greece and never thought to transfer it. However, when I phoned the insurance when we got back, they asked if I'd used my EU card - I said yes because I hadn't been charged and they said that I therefore couldn't claim anything for medical expenses as I didn't have any (the prescription was ineligible due to excess clause). BUT they added that if UK NHS gets a bill for me from Greece, and it gets passed on to me, I'll have to claim it back then. Although they took my name, they got nothing else (police took all my details from passport though).
