I must join the others in saying thank you for your reports kev. You and Yorkshiremouth have been a blessing these last weeks since we got home. By now I am entirely sick of daytime telly sitting on the sofa with my leg up, but you have been a ray of sunshine.

I've stuck a few photos on relevant posts but I've realised that most of the photos I took were with mums camera and she can't find the cable that connects it to a computer. She actually takes the memorey card out and has pics developed on paper still! I don't have a way of reading direct from a memory card so we are a bit stuck for now. If I find a way of getting any other snaps I will attach them at a later date.

Wot no card reader Kev? That's the problem I guess with tablets - not even a USB slot to use an external USB card reader?

A bit of lateral thinking...
Do you have any other equipment in the house which will take a memory card?
If so, swap the card into that and plug it into your PC.
Also, is it a specialist cable? If it's just mini or micro USB you may have one kicking around yourself.

Sadly there seems to be no standard at the 'camera' end with cables that connect camera via a usb. It seems different manufacturers have gone for slightly different sockets in the cameras (like some phone recharger cables arent interchangeable). Mums camera is a Kodak of all things! Dennis - the mini laptop/tablet has a std usb slot just like my own laptop at home, however I don't have a usb/SDHC reader (assuming thats what is in mums camera, I never had time to take it out and look) and now I'm 75 miles away from the camera. I will get a reader and take the mini laptop with me next time I'm in Yorkshire.

My laptop has a memory card reader.
And I have a micro adapter if the memory card is a small 'un.
Feel free to pop in if you're in Huddy over the next week and a half.

Am guessing it's Tinypics (whatever they are!) I've now also had the email from Photobucket - a shame as it was quite easy. I'll have to see what I can cope with on the ipad dor the forthcoming hols. May have to do the same as you and add pics later.
By the way - your mum looks glam!

Amazingly I'm still being allowed to host on photobucket so all images are via that using the img codes but probably only a matter of time before I'm dumped off. I started a tinypics account fearing the inevitable but it seemed a bit shakey. It seemed to take a few goes to load some pics and couldnt find a way of loading multiple images and then getting the img codes seemed laborious as well though I didnt get much time on it before we went away. will have to look into more closely when I get time.

Lovely to see pics, i visualised your mum as little, with grey permed hair and flowery dresses, not a glam blonde with modern clothes. perhaps one day we'll have your mum posting as a solo traveller. My cousin took his mum away on a coach trip after she had been ill.Much to his amusement after a few days found out rest of coach thought she was rich and he was her toyboy! ( she was little plump and grey, and he was in his forties!) they were lucky my aunt didnt handbag them.

Congratulations kev - the pictures you've added are the complete finish to your reports. It's a pity you couldn't add them when you did the actual reports, but going back to check them all out has been VERY enjoyable. I expect your mum will enjoy reading it all too.
You have just slightly saved my bacon - the forum has been fairly quiet since you came home and I was wondering how I'd get through the next days until we fly out again, and here you come adding some really lovely memories in your photos.
