Note at 5:36 LEFT Y junction is the road from Troulos to some of the northern beaches, Asselinos, Ligaries, Kechria to name but a few AND, importantly, the Dog Shelter.
I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to find my original of this video, because I wanted to add running "titles" identifying some landmarks.
If I take the right dashcam in three weeks time, I'll be able to do videos with GPS coordinates for accurate location on the Google Map.
Cheers.
What would be more helpful is if you strapped on a bodycam and wandered round Skiathos Town taking notes.
EDIT - Just watched that video. As someone who hasn't strayed far off the beaten path, my surprise is that it can take 38:00 minutes to get anywhere from anywhere else on Skiathos. It's certainly a windy track!
Many thanks.

Bus stop 2 - is apparently at Sineterismos (road to Profitis Elias) - info supplied by Skiathian on TA site
BUS STOP 2
Okay, can anyone help further with this.
The interactive map has Bus Stop 2 on the corner of a left turn, just before Danos Bakery - you can check this out at 16:29 on the video - but I can't see anything. Apologies Katet, I don't know where Sineterismos or the road to Profitis Elias are - none the wiser, I'm afraid.

Bus stop 1 - bit of contention about this, I was told it's by Asteras supermarket, but Skiathian says it's at the crossroads of airport road and ring road. Am sure he's correct!!
BUS STOP 1
More help required.
The interactive map has this stop at the junction where the left turn takes you to the stadium, that's at 17:05.
The Ring Road/Airport Road junction you mention is at (I think) around 17:33.
Asteras is at 17:48.
If anyone can confirm (or even see the Bus Stop sign in the video) that'd be very much appreciated.

I do recall going on a walk up to the monastery through forests which started at bus stop 2 and I'm sure it was close to a corner but it's part of the bus route I'm least familiar with as I nearly always get off at 4 and walk through town. However I'm apparently staying somewhere near bus stop 1 this year on my 'stealth' visit so if I get chance I will try to investigate. 'Skiathian' should know where they are if he's been living on the island for years so I'd go with his positionings in the absence of further evidence. The junction where the airport road splits off (left going in this direction) is definitely the one you point out at 17:35 where the car has to stop at the sign. I foolishly walked all way down that road to the airport on my first visit as I didn't realise it was actually a through road at the bottom of the runway where Amoretto is, assumed it would be a dead end for safety reasons and never explored it!

No surprise at all. In 58 days work driving this financial year, I’ve driven 19,909 miles - say average 343 miles a day, so I can easily get from A to B in short order. However, when we are on holiday, we hire a Jimny for just two or three days - can’t see any need for one longer on such a small island. Most importantly, I drive for our pleasure so that we can enjoy the views, consequently, an awful lot of it is second gear driving. That video is several clips stitched together and doesn’t show us stopping every time there’s a shout of “photo!” I imagine a mountain biker could be tempted to overtake us. We have no interest in getting to somewhere in a hurry so my driving style is very sedate. 38 minutes? Maybe 12 Kilometres? 3 minutes a km? 20 km/hr? 12.5mph average? The video from Koukounaries to town is 22 minutes for say 15kms? 1.5 minutes a km? 40 km/hr? 25mph average? That’s all on tarmac, A to B, not sightseeing and tbh we would find it uncomfortable.

We're back there on 11 September, so I'll pay attention whilst on the bus & make a proper note of exactly where bus stops 1 & 2 are, if no one else has 'found' them before that date.

Now here's the thing. When will those stops be used? Going towards town, or away?
If you're staying in Troulos or somewhere, and you're going in to town, you'll get off at either 4 or the terminus. There's not a lot of anything between those stops for someone going for a night out.
I presume they're largely used by people staying in the hotels on the route who want to visit the beaches along the coast.
As if to prove the point, on the video the car follows the bus from c.16:30 onwards, and it doesn't appear to stop anywhere for 1 or 2.

I think that's the crux of it. Because it's a bit 'industrial' round there it doesnt get used much by everyday tourists. There are a few accommodations you could walk to from bs1 but they are almost in the middle between bs 1 and bs0 terminus so you could use either. Those residents without a car who live there would probably use bs 2 and 1 to do some shopping for heavier items they wouldnt want to lug home on foot I guess but they do seem very under used.

Right, I might have found something for Bus Stop 2. I'll post the video again below, so you don't have to keep flipping back to Page 1 of the thread.
Go to 16:15.
The car has just come round a corner, and is having to slow down due to a few cars trailing a bus.
The bus may have slowed for the corner, but it does look like it perhaps stopped to let someone off.
My impression of this is increased as the bus appears to be going a little faster when it actually takes the corner.
At 16:22 there's a woman on the right checking her phone. She may have just got off the bus (as she's in the middle of nowhere). She certainly looks like someone who has just got off a bus, and is waiting for the traffic to disappear so she can cross the road.
At 16:25 there's a road sign on the right. It is grey (blue?), with a white square, and what appears to be a black bus shape on it. I've had a look at a couple of other videos, and it's pretty clear that's what it is.
You can see the same sign on the right at 13:04 directly opposite the more traditional Skiathos bus stop sign (two polls with a circle on top) on the left.
So surely, that's Bus Stop 2.

Bus Stop 1 FOUND IT!
Look at 17:21, 17:22 & 17:23 on the left.
It's hard to see as the polls are white, against a white building, whilst the circle at the top is partly obscured by leaves.
You can see it just a little more clearly here at 17:51, as the leaves are trimmed back.

Many thanks to everyone here for indulging my idiocy. My other half thinks I'm nuts, and who am I to argue.
I've added the second video (the one above) to the first post, set to start at 18:42, as everything else is identical across the two videos.
There's a portion at the end of the second video from 18:42 to 19:41 where the car carries on into town, along the front of the port, rather than turning left where the buses go.
I thought it might be useful for people to add their favourite bars & tavernas, and which turn offs on the right lead to where.
I joked with Dennis earlier about strapping on a bodycam and walking through Skiathos Town. Having looked on YouTube there are one or two videos of Skiathos Port, and a couple of Papadiamanti Street, though unfortunately they're montages, edits, and/or blurry and unclear.
If anyone digs up a straight 'walk' from one end to the other of either/both, I suppose that could be a useful addition.
I have found the last few days looking at this to be very useful. Without leaving my desk in sunny Yorkshire, having gone over the route numerous times, I feel I'm far better acquainted with the geography of the road on the island. In the past I sort of knew where Bus Stop 4 was, and I had an idea where the terminus was, but nothing in between, and road was largely a succession of stops, starts, hotels, bays, and so on. I now feel I have a much better grip on where I am at any one point.
I think if I'd tried to do that during an actual holiday I'd have wasted a lot of (very precious) time and become quite frustrated. But going back and forth over the video I feel far more knowledgeable.
The joys of modern technology.
As I say, thanks again.

Good work!!
I also noticed the woman who looks as if she's just got off the bus, also the sign, so I think you're correct. Those bus stops seem to be mostly used by locals - saw Dennis's bus conductor-lady-bloke get off at #3 one afternoon!

Okay everyone, I think I've added pretty much everything that I can.
It's turned out to be far easier and less time-consuming than I expected it to be, and a lot more fun.
We now have:
- A video from Koukounaries to town, with all bus stops, beaches, resorts, and major landmarks included. Links added where possible. - A second video of the same, but listed so as to only show the last section (Terminus to New Port Harbour) with brief annotation. - A third video going the other way, from the terminus to Koukounaries, with just Bus Stops and resorts listed.
If something else comes up I'll add/alter accordingly.
If there's anything you think needs to go on (or be altered) please post here, or feel free to send me a message, and I'll get on to it ASAP.
I think it'd be nice to have a few more 'turn offs/junctions' from the main road listed. Best way of getting to each of the northern beaches, monasteries, etc.
Also, any directions you can give for the middle/second video. Best turn off for The Windmill? Final Step? You get the idea.
Anyway, good luck to everyone. No Skiathos for me this year, just popping to the out-laws caravan in Wales for the third time this year. But this has given me at least a bit of a Skiathos 'hit'.
My very best wishes to you all.
