On seeking inspiration for this holiday's thread title, I looked at the family playlist I'd created and the name of one track stood out as being wholly appropriate.
In an attempt to avoid bangy-thumpiness to the best of my ability, here's a video of the arrangement 'The Mode' used on their Touring the Angel tour (which I actually attended).
Just voice and piano.

You might look at that and think yes, it's inevitable that, whatever other tracks were on the playlist, there wouldn't be any other with a name which could possibly be at the races.
But you know what? There was one.
Bangy-thumpy alert, though.

Love the Cars ... and this track especially! Paul & I used to sing it really loud ... in the car, where else? 🤣

Just listened to the Depeche Mode track - don’t remember it, but I really like it.

I do remember it, hearing this version. Think I’ll add it to my playlist - the Cars are already on now! Thanks, Steve 🙏

So, the final hurdle is over. The government has announced who's been added to the naughty list for the week, and Greece isn't on it, so we're definitely flying out on Sunday.
There is one more issue, and that's Greece being quarantined while we're there. I'm very hopeful, and we only have to survive next Thursday's decision. The yardstick used by the British government is 20 new case in a week per 100,000 people. For Greece that's 2,147 cases in a week, which averages at 307 cases a day. The days which will feed into next week's decision should be Thursday (yesterday) through to next Wednesday. We already have yesterday's figure in, and it's 250, so that's already a head start.
If Greece survives next week, then it won't affect us if it's quarantined the week after. That would be announced on Thursday 3rd, to come into affect at 4:00am on Saturday 5th. Out flight home is due to land at 22:10pm on Friday 4th, so the flight would have to be delayed by 6 hours to get caught.

It was mentioned on the news this morning, if Greece does come under quarantine ruling it could be regionalised, possibly only the mainland thus leaving low rated islands not effected .

You'd hope so, but that's not what our government has done so far, despite outbreaks in Spain, France and Croatia being rationalised, and largely away from many tourist areas. Anyway, I'm not going to worry about it. It's been so touch and go whether we went, I think if we just got a week away (and a refund for the remainder) it'd be a Brucie-bonus. I have told our party to get everything we want to do crammed into the first week, just in case.

In Agustera.
Got to meet Kate very briefly before going for food, but sadly she was gone before we returned from Under the Pine.
This Eza beer is spectacularly good.
