This is not feedback, it's feedforward. Great relief this morning - I've been watching our flight every Friday morning to be pleased it has gone and so it has, with the worst delay being about 80 minutes once. But this morning I had to wait 2 hours 21 minutes for TUI flight BY6558 to depart from Bristol. BUT it has gone now, so ever since it started this year, it has not been cancelled. Things are looking good. One week to go, this time next week hopefully I'll be getting close to my cheese and ham toastie and my Baileys!

I dunno Kate, Vera has still not fully recovered from her fall in Skiathos last September, so is not 100% fit on her feet. Furthermore, she's had another fall earlier this week and gashed her arm rather nastily. So sea and swimming amongst the skittering fishes is in some doubt. On the plus side, however, tzatziki will definitely be on the menu. I shall be doing another thread for my actual feedback, by the way, not adding to this one.

Oh no, poor Vera! Hope she makes a good recovery, Dennis as I know she loves to swim. Falls are so awful and very scary. Vera needs really needs some of that Skiathos magic - good job it’s only a week away for you

A quick add to this - I’ve inherited a tendency towards arthritis from my mum. I had a bone scan a couple of years ago which showed a bit of deterioration in my right hip. I make sure I exercise regularly, as it aches more if I don’t (muscle strength, I suppose). Anyway, I realised a few days ago that I am totally pain free since coming home from Skiathos and can’t remember it aching whilst I was there - and I did a lot of walking! I assume it’s the climate, so that’s another reason why I want to spend as much time there as I possibly can!

My very best wishes to Vera. Hopefully the new buses will help anyone with reduced mobility, as they appear to have pavement-level platforms.

Hi kate. I work in a rheumatology dept yes sunshine heat very good for arthritis etc I prescribe more holiday’s swimming also good exercise with no stress on joints. I’ve recently taken up gentle yoga and it really helps flexibility etc I’ve not cracked the balancing yet! The lady who takes the class is incredible supple flexible I was amazed to find she was 85 I thought about 60 so I’ll keep going.

Wow - that’s encouraging, Cariad! I’ve resumed my gym membership with a view to going some classes and using the pool there. The weather here now is suiting my hip very well, too. Thanks for the info!
