Does anyone have any experience or knowledges of Lake Studios at Koukounaries?

We should have stayed there in Sept '19, but Paul was too poorly. My son and DiL still went though and had a good holiday. They said that the studio was clean but basic and the shower/bathroom was really tiny. They liked the pool area very much and said that the family looking after it were friendly enough.
Their flight out was Thomas Cook's last to Skiathos, so they had a day/night at the Panorama before coming home ... a totally different experience and standard of accommodation.

Ah yes, that’s when I met them. Many thanks. Okay, so SWMBO said to me last night, out of the blue, that a load of cheap Skiathos holidays for late August had just appeared on Jet2. Sunset Studios were up, but that came and went before we had chance to book. By the time we were settled, only Lake was left, so we’ve taken a punt. Works out about £450 each for a week, which is decent for 24-31 August. If they put more back up, and it’s somewhere we know and love, then we may pay the extra few bob to transfer.

Sounds like a good plan! Yes, a very decent price for your week too. You should look at Myrtia if you prefer to stay in Kouk. The kids would love it, as there are always a lot of younger ones there and Vlatko organises pool games for them. Mind you, I think he’s leaving after this season so the vibe may change. It’s the sort of place where you wouldn’t mind them hanging out on their own … way back from the road and very safe.

They grow so quickly. They’re 12 & 14, coming up 13 & 15, and pool games are becoming a thing of the past.
They’re very much in the “I’m bored” stage, where they insist you get them something to do, but can come up with no ideas if their own.
To be fair, that sounds worse than it is, and they’re generally fine. They typically specs a lot of time on their phones, though this is again a tad unfair. I spend a lot of time on my phone, almost all day at the beach/pool, but that’s because I use it for my music, and as an e-reader.
Freya is more social media, whilst Theo plays games, and watches YouTube videos (often of people playing the same games).

Aye. Though, to be fair, on a far milder level than I’ve seen elsewhere.
