Hi everyone.. it was a long long jouney here, first time flying with Singapore airlines and though the second leg is only 5 hours to Perth the 13 hours from Manchester was a killer then through them changing our 2nd flight we had a 10 hour wait for our next flight. But the airport was pretty quiet and we found comfy seats so could have been worse. Flew on a A350-900 which was ok but the next one the dreamliner felt like a sardine tin so was glad of the shorter flight! Emotional greeting with daughter and son in law at 12-30 am but quiet roads home saw us at theirs before 2am. Next morning out on their boat which was a lovely day, followed lots of times by dolphins.. today on boat again in the opposite direction to a local pub before having a picnic on the boat. Then a drive up the road to a fav pub of ours for a hearty meal where I had the best salmon dish ever, Moroccan style cooked. Tomorrow we have a treat of going for a high (Christmas themed) tea in a quaint cottage with beautiful gardens. I wish it was easy to post pics on here… SIL is doing his best to keep cheerful for us but I see the pain he is in re his beloved dad. And I am more tuned in to watch what I say whereas Mick mentions allsorts that SIL parents would be doing when they come again which sadly in reality isnt going to happen but I would give anything to be wrong. What I mean also is we give him a distraction I think to not be thinking sad thoughts all his waking time, but my Mick innocently mentions his dad and I see his demeanour shift, you know? Life can be great but also so very cruel. Im grateful for every or any day that is good. Anyway, its 10pm here 2pm back home so this little wanderer is off to bed, jet lag is getting to me. I napped this afternoon but kept jumping up from a weird dream, the 3/4th Ive had up to now… 🤦♀️ *who is knocking on the door?*No one. *What is that bright lamp above the curtain in bedroom??* Its the sun.. 🥴😂 Ni night all xx

Great to hear from you Di. Yes the flight is a killer. Last time I was in Aus, I was staying with friends in Melbourne. They picked me up early in the morning and said that we had been invited to friends of theirs for dinner. They suggested that I might like a little nap first. When I woke up I asked what time we were leaving. They laughed and told me that I had missed it, as I had slept for 24 hours! Flipping jet lag. I’m sure your visit will help your sil with his grief. In Perth you must ask them to take you to Swanbourne beach, if you haven’t been there before! 🙈I hope you and Mick have a great time.

Furthest I've done is Hong Kong and that seemed a long journey. Would love to see either Oz or NZ one day when I have more travelling time. Glad you are having a great time Di.

A nice couple of days here in Aus, yesterday we went to a lovely quaint place to be treated to a Christmas afternoon tea as a belated anniversary gift from daughter/hubby. It was absolutley amazing, fantastic place and attention to detail beyond compare. The food/service/ambience was outstanding. To top it off there was a large group of glamorous more mature ladies who are part of unknown to us then a worldwide club called The Red Hatters.. who ALL wore red hats and purple dresses. Look it up online. They were FABULOUS and so much fun, Im thinking of joining a club back home, seriously 😁 Quiet night back in the evening, a small bbq and drinks.. today me and hubby went down to Mandurah foreshore which we love and watched the final stages of preparing the Christmas lights all along the foreshore, beautiful sights. We are off on a jaunt tomorrow, having an early night after I had cooked us all their favourite meal of lasagne. Watching the parrots/cockatoos/magpies and the noisy kookaburras fighting over the bird feeder SIL built for them to share, which they dont!! I got bitten quite badly in lots of places last night and the sun had risen before I nodded off after spending the whole night scratching and moaning about it… 😡 Anyway it’s G’night from him and me! 👋🏻 ps anyone want to see photos of the place we went to yesterday with us on a photo but ALL the beautiful red hatters if you have FB search out The Little Wren Farm-BnB page, type it exactly like that Its full of Christmas cheer! 🎄😁
