Hi to all. Having booked early to secure flight/hotel, TUI contacted me via E Mail 141223, cancelling the flight above!
With no suitable alternatives available on my dates, I await the promised full refund. Does anyone have any ideas why the might have cancelled the Flight.
Wishing you all blue skies and warm seas, hoping to see you in 2025. TrevD

TUI cancelled ALL Friday flights in May and June from Bristol, and the first Friday in July (5th). There have been prophecies of TUI doom on facebook.

I am lucky enough to have been in Sep 2016 staying at SERGIOS apartments, and loved the island. Went exploring in a Jimny jeep from Victoria car hire, as much of the island as we could. Due to my available holiday dates I was unable to return until May 2019, again staying at SERGIOS, saw a lot more this time, and revisited a few favourite places.
The pandemic and family health problems caused the cancellation of two other planned stays, hence the disappointment of TUI cancelling 17-24 May 2024. (Panic booking via Brittany Ferries for a few days in Normandy now!)
Will be trying for May or Sep in 2025, after reading the posts we will be looking to try different accommodation, bed/breakfast or self catering.
Thanks for your time, any recommendation's always considered.
Happy New Year

This thread is raising alarm bells Trev! I've a friend joining me for Easter who has booked with Tui on Fri 3 May from Manchester. Will have a look and see if they're still selling this one.
Sorry you've been thwarted yet again! Better luck next time.

When our neighbour also mentioned their TUI holiday, flying from Bournemouth; had also been cancelled, I viewed the TUI flights time table. As mentioned before hand, it appears TUI are cancelling an awful lot of flights/holidays departing from all over the Country early in the season through to June in some cases.
An acquaintance airline pilot had mentioned, they appeared to be very short of both qualified aircrew and aircraft to fulfil their bookings, with very limited options to re-book, even with the 10% discount offered.
I do hope you friend does make it out, Easter on the Island looks and sounds l wonderful. I was lucky enough to see a few Greek Easter’s in Cyprus, apart from all the businesses being closed, great carnivals and celebrations had by all. TrevD

Katet. So pleased it looks as if the flight is still scheduled; hope you both have good weather and a great time.
I am also relieved to announce that TUI have issued a full refund of my deposit and excursion, but only after several unsuccessful attempts on line, but after 20 min wait on the phone, a real human person fixed everything in 4 mins!
So looking forward to either late May or Early September 2025, 4th time lucky we hope in our attempts to return to Skiathos. I hope we can still find the old places/beaches we like, from the posts I know big banana is now a resort complex.
